It looks like AT&T may be starting a new promotion for the start of the month. I just went to my account to see what is offered since my 100mbps fiber plan is about up. Only 100mbps($45/mo) and 1000mbps($39.99/mo) is offered, no 300mbps is offered, but it was available a day ago for $40, and I saw an ad for it on TV today. If you have AT&T internet, check the plans offered in your account dashboard. There is no mention of equipment charges, but this is for a bundle. Southern states.

AT&T Internet 1000
Includes unlimited internet data$59.99
$20 off for 12 months with bundle-$20.00

Internet subtotal
$39.99

hi

Do they charge any installation fee ?
They did not charge for installation, for which they chose where the ONT will be installed. The installer told me that if I wanted it to be brought over somewhere other than where it was straight forward for them, then they charge.
Otherwise, the ONT box once installed stays in the house, even after you cancel the service. I had the service for one year in 2019

I saw this deal available as of early October and kicking myself for not making the move. Currently at $30/mo for internet 100 bundled so $39/mo was a no brainer but I just assumed it was available due to my bundle (the internet 100 was always available when I would check). Hope this comes back soon!

This offer started back on March 1st. So about 8 months is a pretty good run. I was surprised that I didn't see any other companies matching the offer. Keep in mind that all these new plans will start ending in the spring, so there should be new offers. Log into your account dashboard often and check the "change my plan" to see what or if they offer you anything. They should as you get closer to the end of your plan.

If it makes you feel any better, I moved from 100mps to a gig and I can't really see any difference. My speed test at 100 were usually a solid 120mps. My speed checks now are all over the board. I have gotten over a gig speed(sometimes even 3 gigs) but it usually settles down to around 900. Not really complaining, but was expecting better. Web sites load the same as before.

Do you have FTTP do you know? FTTP is fiber to the premises. Those that do have 1 Gig get about 940 Mbps which is on par with expectations given that it's fiber right to the house. Definitely going to jump on the next deal.

Yes, they came down my street in '16 and I got hooked up 4 years ago today, oddly enough.

Here is a test I just ran at Fast.com/ :

Your Internet speed is
1.4
Gbps
Latency
Unloaded
2 ms
Loaded
4 ms
Upload
Speed
510 Mbps

This one is pretty good; must be because it's Sunday night. At 100 the up and down were almost identical, but at 1000 there is a wide gap.

Same here. Already got bill with prorated expiration of 12 month pricing.

Anyone being offered better than $60 + $10 equipment for gig?

At this point I think the only option is to call the loyalty number and tell them how much you like your bundle, if that's what you have, and see if they will extend it a year. It worked for the post just before yours.
I don't think the spouse name will make any difference, they go by address, and it will certainly mean you would get an equipment fee added on, if you don't have one already, plus lose any loyalty you may have built up. Don't get the equipment fee added if you don't have one, they don't seem to go away. If you have one, see if they will drop it as incentive to take the year promotion since you are already wired up and it's been over a year.

Let us know how you do. A 1000mps, including HBO Max, for $60 doesn't look to bad since the next best I see promoted now is 300mps at $45 in my area.

I called in and was told I would get $30 Off Internet for 12 more months. So its $49.99 + Tax/fees $3.75= $53.74 - Was $50.12 Total, Tax/fees was just $.13 before.

My current plan: 1000Mbps for $50 + $0 equipment fee
Tentative new plan: 100Mbps for $35 + $10 equipment fee

I'm on the fence about negotiating for a retention on the current plan v.s. signing up a new plan for the reward cards of $250 in total + $60 cashback.

How early are you guys calling in to loyalty department before your contract ends?

Or are you guys calling into loyalty department after your promotion ends?
