I think just about every statement in this is false. These are great speakers and $199 is a total buy.
a) these actually sound quite good
b) there's growing support for homekit. urlhasbeenblocked just released their hub that works with homekit. Especially since their bulbs are pretty cheap already, and frequently go on sale on Amazon
c) if privacy matters, apple has amazon and google beat
d) I've been using Siri more lately, and it's a lot better than what it used to be. Some small things you have to account for (like, asking certain follow up questions, but it's not a deal breaker by any means). Smart home setup felt more seemless too.
e) $200 is the right price for this. Wouldn't pay more. Debating if we should go for #s 3 & 4

Apple should be giving these things away. Siri is.wothless and very few smart home manufactures support homekit. These are pretty much over priced iTunes only streaming speaker with mediocre sound quality.

I love my HomePod. The reason I got this app was just to see when they went on sale. At 200 it's great. I wouldn't pay 300 though. But now thanks to this app I will be picking up my 2nd HomePod after work today.

If something doesn't support HomeKit you shouldn't use it.

Apple has very strict security requirements that not everyone can meet.

Even if you are not in the Apple ecosystem you should always look for their sticker.

I agree with most of this. Apple fell way behind Alexa and google home

Why would you trust your house to the data-mining monsters Amazon and Google?

I've got nearly everything in HomeKit and I know Apple is isn't tracking my every action.
