It's $110, typically the IPS monitors in this price range are 60hz with no freesync at all.
No VESA, for those wondering.
I feel like these adapters are great if you already have monitors that you're happy with and you're converting to a vesa setup. Seems odd though to buy this monitor and an adapter new though. You might as well just apply that $30 to a better monitor with native vesa support no? I see them come around.

My deal alert just came up. I use 3 of these alongside my S2716DG.

For VESA mounting I use these and they work great!

would this be fine with for some basic gaming capabilities? My son is on his PC all the time, but not for anything high end, usually just like FNAF, Roblox, Minecraft, that type of stuff. There's no reason this wouldn't be fine for that correct?

For that purpose, you should be more than fine.

Thirty bucks a whack for those really drives up the cost enough that it's no longer a slick deal for me.

I agree. Buying this monitor just to go out and buy the mounts is kind of dumb. Problem for me though was I already had two and wanted a matching third.
