The piece of wood nailed over the roof is a nice touch but I don't really understand the pirate ship railing on a treehouse.

This is a great set just for the different pieces. With the teddy, treasure chest, crows nest, pirate accessories, wood panels, baseplates, you get a lot of unique pieces for the money. I have two of these and it's hard to not buy a 3rd.
