How does it compare to their 86" LED Samsung model?

Thank you, been waiting for Costco's TV deals this month, and this did not disappoint! Almost bought the LG Series 9 last week off eBay but glad I held out. Been looking for a good deal on a good quality 80+" TV for a few months now!

Q7 is the 2018 model, correct? I think the 2019 model is Q70.

I thought the Q7D (costco) and the Q70 is the same TV? But Costco simply just gets its own SKU/model?

This is the 2019. Costco's model numbers are slightly different. This is the "Q7D", which is a variant of the Q70.

From rtings.com: "Update 05/31/2019: There is a minor variant of the Q70, known as the Q7DR. In Canada, it's a Best Buy exclusive, and in the U.S., it's a warehouse model (Sam's Club, Costco). The only difference appears to be the speakers, which increase from 40W to 60W, but we don't know for sure, as there is some conflicting information."

Why doesn't Costco carry the higher end Q80 or Q90?

Yeah, I would've loved to pick up a Q80 from them. Wonder if Samsung just doesn't sell a warehouse equivalent to the Q80? Would help Samsung w/ some sales over the LG C9. But also wondering how many Costco shoppers are buying the C9.

For what its worth, the Q70 82" is available via Samsung's EPP for $2,240.27 + the 10% urlhasbeenblocked rebate. But it's 1-year warranty versus the Costco 5-year warranty. So unsure if the $233.75 savings makes up for it? Guess you could purchase a SquareTrade warranty to net everything out.

The Q7D is what Samsung calls their "warehouse model" the only difference between the Q7D and the Q70 is that the Q7D has better sound (4.1 vs 2.1)
Source : I called Samsung to directly ask this question a few weeks ago

The smart remote that comes with it goes bonkers all the time. The firmware of the tv is crappy. No Dolby vision either. But the picture quality is good. Not sure if it is worth it though compared to a newer tv.

I pulled the trigger on the 85" model of this at Costco just the other day and could not fit it in our car so had to return it 5 minutes after buying it! I'm hoping they reduce the 85" price as part of this sale or may have to go for the 82" just because it is such a great price for this model. 5 year warrantee is good too.
