On April 1 Goodyear says the prices of Goodyear- and Kelly-brand consumer tires will increase up to 5%.
"These increases are in response to changing market dynamics in the industry and reflect the strong value of the Goodyear brands," the company said in a statement.

Same boat here. It seems this deal is from "discounttire.com" which adds taxes to the product. Whereas "discounttiredirect.com" does not add taxes. Am I right? Also if you have a discount credit card, the extra 5% off probably sweetens the pot.

Remember to factor in the price of installation, this can add roughly $15-30 per tire depending where you go. Sometimes Costco has promos for free or $10 installation.
Also check Walmart.com and Amazon for tire deals, sometimes they'll have the exact same tire in the same size from DT but cheaper. Note that even though DT does price match, they don't let you stack DT rebates with them. You can still stack manufacturer rebates on it though.
