Why was this downvoted? It's currently the best price available. Amazon's price is $34.99. My subscription is expiring soon, so this deal works for me. Sure, it's not as cheap as Black Friday, and it may not be a "deal" compared to others in the past 4 months, but for someone looking for Norton now, this post is helpful. Please note, you do need to sign up for emails in order for the promo code to work, but you can unsubscribe at any time.

Has norton gotten any better at antivirus software? The stuff they were putting out in the win 7 era would cripple any PC i put it on worse than an actual virus would.

Because it's 2020....the antivirus software built into windows is good enough. And Most ISP's already give you Norton (or McAfee) for free if you really want to use it.

Someone I know who works for a company that got ransomwared last year would say no. Their company tried several different alternatives including Norton, McAfee, Malwarebytes, Trendmicro, and Kaspersky. They found Trend micro to be the best enterprise solution for not slowing down devices, and Kaspersky to be the best product, but just not the best for enterprise.

Norton, McAfee, and Malwarebytes were crippling.
I have been using ESET for years and I normally buy 25 licenses for small business.
Norton 360 is free with Comcast (5 computers).
Have it on 5 computers.
Not crippling.
How well does it work? Don't know as I don't have viruses, but it does block a lot of .exe and even prevented Utilman (inherent Win10 program) from loading when attempting to reset Win 10 user password.
I also use Malwarebytes as a "backup".
I do agree that Kaspersky is best if not only for the reason that it developed a rep when Norton was not very good.
I abhor McAfee.
It crippled many a computer and my company likes to use it for enterprise.
The darn indexing it does slows down computers to a crawl. Need at least 8GB RAM.
even back then Norton ran fine if you take ten mins to adjust startup and foreground/gaming scan behavior. Kaspersky and Bitdefender edged it out in detection rates only slightly

Because it tends to behave like a virus itself, its slowing down devices and eats a lot of space.
