This is the similar to the last deal: I just converted my T-mobile lines to ATT. Traded 4 iPhone 7.
Can I port my number to google voice open a new line and later down the road port my number back into ATT on that new line?
If you port it back immediately from google voice, then it will be treated as "Win Back". And "Win Backs" does not qualify for the promotion. I am not sure about the duration of this "Win Back". It's either 60 days or 90 days.
So, if you wait for 60 days or 90 days, by then this offer will end. But, new offers will be in the pipeline after 60 or 90 days.
Now considering the shortage of iphone phones, I am sure, we will get better deals in another 2-3 months
Well, there is no contract. But, then if you move out of ATT, then you will stop receiving the monthly credits and you should pay the difference to ATT
So, this is like being stuck with them for 30 months just to get the monthly credits. But, here is how I look at this. If you have 4 lines to transfer from a ATT competitor, then here is the math
1) You get $1000 back as monthly credits over 30 months
2) If you get a basic iPhone 11, then you pay $699
3) you get 300 extra per phone. this translates to 1200 total (300 * 4 trade-ins)
4) this 1200 is a bonus credit over these 30 months
5) this bonus credit is equivalent to $40 per month
6) if you go with the basic unlimited starter, your monthly service cost before this bonus $40 credit will be $140 plus tax
7) if you consider the monthly bonus of $40, then you are paying only $100 plus tax for 4 lines for 30 months.
8) If you can get a FAN discount that is another 20% top of this. Which will be around $80 plus tax every month (once all credit start to show up in 2-3 billing cycles)
You are right, we will have to be with them for 30 months to get all benefits.

Thanks this is exactly what i needed to know. I can survive forwarding my Google voice to the new number for 3 months.
Can you elaborate more on the iphone shortage? I didnt quite understand.
Wouldnt this be bad for deals? Since they have shortage they will want to sell at MSRP?
that is one way to look at it.
But, how economics works is that ... due to the shortage .... apple's revenue will get hit. So, they will try to get more sales at any price. Also, apples does not have 5g yet. people are now buying more samsung and other brands for 5g. We are not yet sure if iPhone 12 will support 5g. if iPhone 12 supports 5g, then we will have even better deals for iPhone 11 and below (as it does not support 5g)
I just spoke to an employee at the local Costco wireless kiosk and was informed that it is only $800 w/ porting in a new line from VZW and a trade in. Can anyone confirm that it is indeed $1000? Thanks!
