Sprint WILL RELOCK your unlocked device as they did to mine. Not a single incident as friends and family of mine got their RELOCKED to the sprint network. We all had unlocked devices when signed up. Now all our phones are locked to Sprint. Thats illegal.
You have to stay for 90 days to keep the $300 and their unlock policy is 60 days, so while I agree they should not be re-locking phones, you can get it re-unlocked after 60 days and before your 90 day requirement is fulfilled.
Thanks! Ordered the BYOD Amazon SIM on Monday and was sitting on whether to switch my Iphone over. I felt a little dirty about going back to Sprint. I left them 4 years ago (after 18 years as a customer) and said I'd never go back.

Glad I did. $300 is better than $100 and I can still port out in a few months. No contracts on the Kickstarter plan. They automatically waived the activation fee by doing it online as well, but after looking at my confirmation email it says there will be a one-time credit of $30 within 3 invoices however that plays out. My first bill will be charged 30 days from today.

I was concerned with the Amazon reviews saying they were sent 4 of the same SIMs, but it worked flawlessly. Over chat the rep told me which one to use. I also asked if I could double down on both the $300 and $100 Amazon SIM promotion, but was a no go. Worth a shot anyway.

For porting out I used 2 free Mint SIMs I had ordered through the Superbowl promo a while back. To get the Mint account number I called the Ultra mobile customer service line and there was an option for getting it.. gets sent as a text to the phone with the Mint SIM installed. I actually had planned to use Mint's free trial, but the signal at home and work was worse than Sprint, so that was a dealbreaker.

In the past I've used T-Mobile prepaid SIM cards to port in/out, usually $9.99 through Amazon, but now they require an additional $10 to port-in. There seems to be ~$1.99 T-Mobile (non-physical) ICCIDs for sale on eBay, so net cost would be ~$12 for a port out that way. There may be cheaper options I'm not aware of. I've done T-Mobile in the past because it's nearly instant port-out/port-in.

The $25 kickstart can be done online at Best Buy without BYOD by purchasing a phone. I did it at my local Best Buy store since I was using a family member for the new account creation and doing BYOD at first. Getting the $300 rebate while going through Best Buy's Kickstart is still YMMV. I plan to stay on Sprint until rates go up (according to T-Mobile they won't raise rates for 3 years post merger), so it was worth to register for the promo and see if it goes through.

For those doing this strictly as a MM, best would be to sign up directly with Sprint to ensure they don't deny the rebate based on signing up via a third party (Best Buy).

Like I mentioned on my earlier post, if going though Best Buy qualifies for the $300, the safest route may be BYOD given the terms mention purchasing the phone at the SRP (suggested retail price?). If it ends up qualifying with any phone purchase regardless, the Moto E6 is the option to pick, currently free at Best Buy (says $49.99 through Sprint, then shows free in checkout)

In short, to make sure the purchase is qualified, go with Sprint directly for the $35 kickstart. I wanted to lock down the lower service price through BB and Sprint happened to have the promo registering link available, so I went with it to see if it sticks, but YMMV Smilie

How do we get Tmobile port out with $10? I have SIMS but online minimum is $25 plan and on phone is similar.

1. Not many people here have done the BB deal.
2. I saw one post from someone who did the BB deal and said the rep gave him the account number and related info to go register for the GC. However, when you've registered and submitted the claim, it doesn't immediately say whether or not you qualify. About an hour after submitting the claim, you'll get an email from Sprint that says:

We have received your registration for Bring your own phone $300 Port-in Offer, 3/13/20-4/9/20. New customers bringing their own device & porting a number to Sprint can receive a $300 Prepaid MasterCard with eligible plan.<=.(My note: not specified what eligible plans are)
Your tracking number is: xxxxxxxxx
Please be sure to keep a copy of your tracking number for future reference.
You will be notified by email if all requirements have been met and when you should expect your prepaid card. If you qualify for multiple promotions, multiple prepaid cards may be mailed to complete fulfillment. Please allow 10-12 weeks for processing and validation of your submission.

Sounds to me like they won't say Yay or Nay until 90 days have passed to see if you had met the requirement by maintaining service for 3 months.
This reply was incredibly helpful and probably one of the best I've ever received on Slickdeals. Thank you very much for your help. Have a good day!

Can anyone confirm if I can use the BYOD sim ordered from Amazon last week? Or does the sim have to be purchased after the 13th?

I'm confused. Is there as separate registration page where we can register for the GC after the activation? When I follow the deal it starts off by asking for my IMEI, which leads me to think I have to port in and all that right there on that page
Yes the rep gave me the link plus promo code

Being new to Sprint, I don't know if there's anything date-related with their SIMs. I read the thread about the Visible Moto E6 and there's a lot of info on which SIMs work and which don't (they're phone make/model dependent). I went to Best Buy yesterday and bought a Sprint SIM Kit which has 4 SIMs, and the one with number SIMOWL516TQ works for my Moto E6.
The link below posted by Genghis Khan is very helpful. If the SIM for your phone is included in the Amazon kit, then it'll work.

What was the phone number you called ultra to get your account number and pin for mint. I have 2 mints to port in. Thank you.
you can also try chatting with a Mint rep. I did that asked port-out info, rep took over chat and asked simple questions, name, phone #, email and boom got my account and pin #

How to get no credit check page from TCB?? Can we manually paste no credit check link after clicking from TCB? will it work?? Please suggest
Try to install chrome add-on. Activate Sprint cash back (disable pop-up blockers). It will open Sprint default page. Use search and type in no credit check. Then try to navigate from there.

I walked in sprint store and have the rep do this for me. The offer is valid in store, i was given a tracking number after the port in completed.
There is no $30 activation fee, but make sure you opt out of all insurance, protection, etc.

1. See posts #384, 385, 388.
2. I ported my Visible Moto E6 to Sprint yesterday. First, I chatted with a Visible rep to get my account number and PIN of the account. During the process of setting up a new line with Sprint, I indicated that I wanted to port in my number, entered my Visible phone number, acct # and PIN. I also removed the Visible SIM from the phone and inserted the Sprint SIM that I bought at Best Buy. After I submitted my order, my Moto E6 showed that it was downloading some Network Update. When it was done, I made some test calls/texts and they worked fine. About 20 minutes after that, I got an email from Visible saying "Sorry to see you go, your account is now closed".

I did my deal through tcb last night. Got an email from Sprint at 9:41pm confirming my order. Got an email from tcb at 9:49pm with the title Transaction Notification and the content of "Your recent purchase has tracked". When I checked my tcb account this morning, it showed the pending $80 cb.

I have no crystal ball. Like I said in my post #384, I tested my phone this morning and it was still unlocked.
