Sprint WILL RELOCK your unlocked device as they did to mine. Not a single incident as friends and family of mine got their RELOCKED to the sprint network. We all had unlocked devices when signed up. Now all our phones are locked to Sprint. Thats illegal.
You have to stay for 90 days to keep the $300 and their unlock policy is 60 days, so while I agree they should not be re-locking phones, you can get it re-unlocked after 60 days and before your 90 day requirement is fulfilled.
Thanks! Ordered the BYOD Amazon SIM on Monday and was sitting on whether to switch my Iphone over. I felt a little dirty about going back to Sprint. I left them 4 years ago (after 18 years as a customer) and said I'd never go back.

Glad I did. $300 is better than $100 and I can still port out in a few months. No contracts on the Kickstarter plan. They automatically waived the activation fee by doing it online as well, but after looking at my confirmation email it says there will be a one-time credit of $30 within 3 invoices however that plays out. My first bill will be charged 30 days from today.

I was concerned with the Amazon reviews saying they were sent 4 of the same SIMs, but it worked flawlessly. Over chat the rep told me which one to use. I also asked if I could double down on both the $300 and $100 Amazon SIM promotion, but was a no go. Worth a shot anyway.

Right after I submitted my order on Saturday, I receive an email from Sprint confirming my order. The Activation Code is in it. See screenshot below.

the activation code is on the email. I didn't receive the email because I accidentally entered a wrong email.

there was an activation code on my 2nd account that I saw in the email.

Thank you both. I did find the activation code in my email. I was typing my earlier answer and didn't see your replies.

I'm having a hard time catching up with reading this thread with my monsters, I mean kids, at home. I can't even think with all the insanity (they are 5 and 8)!

Can anyone comment on my plan below? I'm on BYOD that expires next month, 3rd year I did it. I always used google voice to generate a phone number and then port it out but I'm not completely sure that will work this time based on comments.

1. I'll first try to replace the 3 phones on my account with placeholders, old phones that dont even work. This is just to free up the 3 phones we're using right now so they can be activated on a new account.

2. Either create google numbers to port or buy phone numbers on ebay. Is this a bad idea? If so, where do you recommend I port to for 1 day? I also have a Galaxy S7 and LG G2 in a drawer that I want to use so that I'm activating 5 lines total.

3. I saw one comment state that we can do a new activation (not port) and still be eligible for the $300? Any truth to this?

4. I still need to figure out the AA miles, passing on the CU deals since I'm not in a CU.

i'm on the same boat and used GV for 2 numbers so far. as you are aware, GV doesn't port instantly so it's good you are planning ahead.

I used GV - port happened pretty much instantaneously - I was surprised too. I am not sure if this will disqualify the rebate for whatever reason - I am quite pessimistic on these things.

One easy way will be, if you have xfinity mobile - signup for additional lines - they take 2 days to ship out SIM cards. Once you activate, you should be able to port out. Costs around $10 to $15 at most for 5 lines ($12 plan + taxes - not sure if $12 will be prorated)

Another way is to get tracfone numbers - https://www.amazon.com/eGift-Prom...B0728N8PT9. They ship within 1 day, activate with $15 plan - wait for a couple days to get a $25 Amazon GC and then port them over to Sprint.

Not sure I got what you are suggesting...

You mean use the current number from sprint and shift it to my wife as a portin?
Thanks for your suggestions
Well i have no history of what it is exactly that you have done. Is the line active yet? Is it a line added to an existing account. Lots of unknowns. Your wife can definitely have her own separate account and don't forget either of you can do a no credit check account, so as i understand it, each individual can have 2 separate accounts. I am definitely no expert here so maybe others can chime in also.

Never mind.

Grrrr. Sprint has confusing instructions and descriptions.

Chat agent said the activation code is on the order confirmation. There was none. I then searched through my emails and found an email where they had the activation code. So, it was in the email, not the order confirmation page.

Also, on that activation code and manufacturer security question - "What's the activation code & phone manufacturer from your order confirmation? (xxxxxxManufacturer)"

That was also incorrectly asked. I typed it in the format they specified xxxxxxManufacturer (e.g., 12345Apple). Sprint page said the answer is incorrect.

I tried just 12345. The Sprint page accepted it.

First time Sprint customer and so far the webpage and chat experience have been disappointing.

I do like the speed - DL 69 mbps
Enjoy Sprint, once you are up and running, it's usually pretty good. U just have to learn how to troubleshoot when there are glitches, and this will come as time goes by.

The new line is active now. I started a brand new account with sprint with this number and there is only 1 line which I have added (on my name).
