Sprint WILL RELOCK your unlocked device as they did to mine. Not a single incident as friends and family of mine got their RELOCKED to the sprint network. We all had unlocked devices when signed up. Now all our phones are locked to Sprint. Thats illegal.
You have to stay for 90 days to keep the $300 and their unlock policy is 60 days, so while I agree they should not be re-locking phones, you can get it re-unlocked after 60 days and before your 90 day requirement is fulfilled.
Thanks! Ordered the BYOD Amazon SIM on Monday and was sitting on whether to switch my Iphone over. I felt a little dirty about going back to Sprint. I left them 4 years ago (after 18 years as a customer) and said I'd never go back.

Glad I did. $300 is better than $100 and I can still port out in a few months. No contracts on the Kickstarter plan. They automatically waived the activation fee by doing it online as well, but after looking at my confirmation email it says there will be a one-time credit of $30 within 3 invoices however that plays out. My first bill will be charged 30 days from today.

I was concerned with the Amazon reviews saying they were sent 4 of the same SIMs, but it worked flawlessly. Over chat the rep told me which one to use. I also asked if I could double down on both the $300 and $100 Amazon SIM promotion, but was a no go. Worth a shot anyway.

Sprint, America's 4th largest major network! No data over calls is dealbreaker.
You do get data on calls if you have VoLTE enabled. This is supported on most new phones. Like iPhone 8 and newer. Samsung S8 and newer etc.

anyone having issues registering after the number has ported?

(this is my 2nd account, I couldn't add to my 1st account because I swapped a phone that's under lease, maybe that's why)

I keep on getting an error when I try to create account: (wtether I use phone number or account number)
"Hmmmm…your transaction cannot be completed at this time, please close your browser and try again later."

repped! Is it possible to start with a few lines and add some more later to get to 5 lines?
Others here have said yes, but I can't checkout on the 2nd line. It might be because I swapped a phone that's under lease.

thanks for the ideas, repped! If there were alternatives, why did you use google voice? Just curious what the thought process is there. I wonder if all my phones will work with Xfinity mobile. The 3 we use right now should work, 2 LG G8's and Moto Force Z2, then I also have a Galaxy S7 and a LG G2 which is ancient but still sort of works. The G2 sim cant be changed so not sure how it would work on Xfinity/Verizon.
thanks, repped!
Xfinity mobile has a byod checker, only Apple, Samsung, Google phones will pass. Although the sim will work in most unlocked phones, but they will only send you a sim if it is one of those 3 phones. But you can try and see how it goes.

Based on R_2_D_2's experience it does seem like the "no credit check" link interferes with TCB CB.

I guess some people may not care about one additional pull.
I did the port-in through tcb on Sat and the tracking/pending for $80 showed up immediately. While I prefer not to get a hard pull, I went ahead with credit check because it didn't want to jeopardize the tcb tracking by clicking (to the no credit check) away from the page that tcb opened.

Anyone else get this? "Your phone isn't eligible for sprint service but it's locked by your current carrier" I bought my phone outright with xfinity mobile, why would it be locked?

So from what we know till now, you should not go for "no credit check" if you want tcb cb!

New promo effective today. They are clearly making a distinction between new and existing customers. The $300 is only for new customers in my view.

$100 Port-in Offer, 3/18/20-4/9/20. New and existing customers porting a new line of service and leasing a new phone are eligible for a $100 Prepaid Mastercard. Offer eligible for Sprint.com or Telesales orders only.
Good catch kenpet. I read it though as BYOD $300 vs. lease and $100. Both ports. Not so much new vs. old accounts, but to be safer (and free 3,4,5) do a new account. . . as me, you, and several others have suggested.
