Sprint WILL RELOCK your unlocked device as they did to mine. Not a single incident as friends and family of mine got their RELOCKED to the sprint network. We all had unlocked devices when signed up. Now all our phones are locked to Sprint. Thats illegal.
You have to stay for 90 days to keep the $300 and their unlock policy is 60 days, so while I agree they should not be re-locking phones, you can get it re-unlocked after 60 days and before your 90 day requirement is fulfilled.
Thanks! Ordered the BYOD Amazon SIM on Monday and was sitting on whether to switch my Iphone over. I felt a little dirty about going back to Sprint. I left them 4 years ago (after 18 years as a customer) and said I'd never go back.

Glad I did. $300 is better than $100 and I can still port out in a few months. No contracts on the Kickstarter plan. They automatically waived the activation fee by doing it online as well, but after looking at my confirmation email it says there will be a one-time credit of $30 within 3 invoices however that plays out. My first bill will be charged 30 days from today.

I was concerned with the Amazon reviews saying they were sent 4 of the same SIMs, but it worked flawlessly. Over chat the rep told me which one to use. I also asked if I could double down on both the $300 and $100 Amazon SIM promotion, but was a no go. Worth a shot anyway.

I think that's how Mr Drummond was able to buy his 5th Avenue Apt.
Yeah, he was a stable producer longer term vs. the more flamboyant George Jefferson "movin' on up, on the east side" which probably didn't last.

I would take the Drummond approach long term over the other. lol

If I do this with 5 phones on the Unlimited Plus plan, do I have to pay taxes and fees on each of the 5 phones, or just once?
I'm in NYC what would total monthly taxes and fees be for all 5 phones, approximately +/-?

I could do this with my Moto G7, my Moto E4, and a friend's Apple iPhone X.

Unless I can find an old Samsung(?) phone I've got here somewhere I'd have to move ASAP and buy 2 more ultra cheap phones + 2 bare bones super cheap voice service plans + x2 SIMS ... so I could port over a total of 5 BYOD.
(any good suggestions on this ^?)

Can someone explain what the $50 referral is, and how it's applied?

I had two rounds/years of Sprint's BYOD which terminated on January 27th. Both the G7 and E4 were previously on Sprint's free year plans. When I do a dry run the IMEI numbers work.

So if I do the 5 line deal I can just open new account with Sprint, correct? (I seem to recall when I signed up for my second free year Sprint just automatically opened a fresh new account instead of reactivating the old one).

does Sprint tie the SIM to the device/IMEI like Metro?
Or you can move your sim to a new device, and get service without calling Sprint?

Did you get an answer for adding lines later? I am in the same situation.
Not yet -- hoping my Tracfone promo GCs come in today so I can sign up all 5 lines tonight

People doing "no credit check" option mention they get errors when trying to add new lines later -- don't think it'll be a problem for accounts with credit check but I'll wait

Pay GV to unlock the number for porting -- give GV account info to Sprint when porting

Sprint uses different sim card part numbers -- you need the sim part number that's compatible with your phone

You can't just switch sim cards between phones -- you need to register/change phone IMEI and sim ICCID when swapping phones

Not sure if Sprint improved its online system yet to do it yourself -- you can do online chat or call CS for "device swap" (don't say "phone upgrade" which is something else)

You can swap phones online, logged in to your account.

But I had to google the link.

If someone refers me and I use the referral link, what do I need to do to get the CB bonus?
You sign up on the $50 referral page first. You should get a email from Sprint with a link to complete the referral after you get your line set up with Sprint where it asks for the Sprint phone number.

You can then set up service/port using whatever method you need.

I was showing $400 earlier as pending..
Lets see what others say

I'm a current Sprint customer, so here's my thought for this. Since I can't qualify for my line, I figure my best best is to refer the other 4 lines individually to stack the $300 GC, Cashback and Referral.

Refer the 4 lines: 2x$50 GC's each line = $400
Cashback for each line: $75 x4 = $300
Gift Cards: $300 x 4 = $1200
Kickstart: ~$40/m after tax/fees x 5 ($200/m)

After a few months, move the kids lines over to Tello for $7/m and either keep the adults lines on Kickstart or switch to Visible for $100 BYOD and $25/m all in price. Just need ti figure out if the Sprint referrals and Cashback will stack.
