Sprint WILL RELOCK your unlocked device as they did to mine. Not a single incident as friends and family of mine got their RELOCKED to the sprint network. We all had unlocked devices when signed up. Now all our phones are locked to Sprint. Thats illegal.
You have to stay for 90 days to keep the $300 and their unlock policy is 60 days, so while I agree they should not be re-locking phones, you can get it re-unlocked after 60 days and before your 90 day requirement is fulfilled.
Thanks! Ordered the BYOD Amazon SIM on Monday and was sitting on whether to switch my Iphone over. I felt a little dirty about going back to Sprint. I left them 4 years ago (after 18 years as a customer) and said I'd never go back.

Glad I did. $300 is better than $100 and I can still port out in a few months. No contracts on the Kickstarter plan. They automatically waived the activation fee by doing it online as well, but after looking at my confirmation email it says there will be a one-time credit of $30 within 3 invoices however that plays out. My first bill will be charged 30 days from today.

I was concerned with the Amazon reviews saying they were sent 4 of the same SIMs, but it worked flawlessly. Over chat the rep told me which one to use. I also asked if I could double down on both the $300 and $100 Amazon SIM promotion, but was a no go. Worth a shot anyway.

I have the IMEI so I can complete a BYOD order.
But I don't have the device in hand. Once I receive the SIM, can I activate/portin the line without actually having the device in hand.

AFAIK, you will need the phone to insert sim to complete activation. SIM and IMEI should match what's in their system for the line to work.
I don't know if things have changed, but 2 years ago I activated a "free BYOD" line on my account with a phone I had bought from WM. I returned the phone, but the line and "phone" stayed there. I never even cracked the seal on the phone box. . .
Of course it was the 5th line, so I didn't need it for account verification (or use). But that ghost phone and line # stayed there for months until I subbed in real phone via online account.

i get this error message when i try to add a byod line. then i change to a diff phone and the same thing happens. don't wanna activate with a phone rep unless he can give me cash back.Roll Eyes (Sarcastic)
Hey GK, that seems weird. Seems to me the only "credit check required devices" are financed phone purchases (and possibly non paid off sprint phones from another account). Get things set up with some of those visible e6's if you have to, and then sub in later. . .

OK just a summary of my one line.

I ported in a line from Visible that expired a couple weeks ago. I contacted Visible via chat to get the acct and pin #'s to complete the port. I used an unlocked phone that was not connected with Visible at all and had been used in the past on a Sprint MVNO. I just did the $35 kick starter plan and will use at least 3-4 months to ensure I receive the kickbacks.

I had someone provide a referral link to get that $50 and created my own Sprint referral link for future endeavors. So, with any luck I'm hoping for at least $50.

I also loaded the TCB extension which indicated I had the $80 activated. It has not yet shown up in my dashboard but hoping to see it soon.

Lastly, I had the $300 for the large rebate loaded all the way through checkout and registered after completing account set-up.

HTH PM me with any questions.

That makes it even more bizarre. I used all my old sprint BYOD line essentials and lg g6's for sign up. At least for the $100 Amazon no credit. . .but those same phones seem to work on the $300 as well. . .And those phones had all been on multiple accounts under different people. And the Pixel's not working, hmmm

Question: Can you use the 'No Credit Check' option and order 5 lines at the same time? And I see that sim card is $0, so why on the wiki page there's link to buy the sim card? I'm confused.

What the hell. Just signed up for it. I switched to t-mobile six months ago, I think I got a $150 gift card.

I expense my mobile bill with my employer so signed up for unlimited premium.

Used TCB so hopefully will get the $80 cash back.

Just asked for DOB, didn't ask for SSN going through the no credit check link.

I will most likely switch to verizon after for the $250 BYOD offer assuming that deal will be available after.

Went ahead and ordered 5 lines with the 'No Credit Check' option. After the order was completed, I found that only 2 lines were showing the $300 BYOD credit, but the wiki thread says limit 5 per account?

Just realized Sprint probably won't allow port ins from T-Mobile fairly soon since they pairing up; so get'm while ya can!

Is there a way to get a phone number from a different carrier to Port? I'm currently with Sprint and want to jump on this deal!

Also, for those of us on the free plan, is there a "better" way to take advantage of this deal? I saw something towards the beginning of this deal, but I don't quite get what the benefit would be to those of us on the free plan.

I used Google Voice, account number is same as phone number, set voicemail pin, pay $3 to unlock

Are you adding phones to an account? I got the same error on 2 of the new kick start plans i just signed up for (both no credit check, different names)

I ended up just signing up for a new Sprint Unlimited Plan

A lot of us here I think switched from the free plan to this new plan to lock in low rates on Sprint. I sort of wonder... a lot of carriers are now responding with increasing data usage. Makes me wonder if Sprint would have it in their best interests to extend the free plan or make it available again or if it would be too much of a loss as the T-Mobile merger starts happening. That would be detrimental to any of their MVNOs, but imagine now how many people who would switch and possibly even keep the service given the goodwill efforts.

I suspect they would not be able to afford the loss of revenue long term though.

Transferred out of BYOD free for a year Sprint plan last week. Will they let me port back and get $300?

I don't know where you saw that sim card is $0. I brought in BYOD that was never used on Sprint, so had to buy a SIM.
