Sprint WILL RELOCK your unlocked device as they did to mine. Not a single incident as friends and family of mine got their RELOCKED to the sprint network. We all had unlocked devices when signed up. Now all our phones are locked to Sprint. Thats illegal.
You have to stay for 90 days to keep the $300 and their unlock policy is 60 days, so while I agree they should not be re-locking phones, you can get it re-unlocked after 60 days and before your 90 day requirement is fulfilled.
Thanks! Ordered the BYOD Amazon SIM on Monday and was sitting on whether to switch my Iphone over. I felt a little dirty about going back to Sprint. I left them 4 years ago (after 18 years as a customer) and said I'd never go back.

Glad I did. $300 is better than $100 and I can still port out in a few months. No contracts on the Kickstarter plan. They automatically waived the activation fee by doing it online as well, but after looking at my confirmation email it says there will be a one-time credit of $30 within 3 invoices however that plays out. My first bill will be charged 30 days from today.

I was concerned with the Amazon reviews saying they were sent 4 of the same SIMs, but it worked flawlessly. Over chat the rep told me which one to use. I also asked if I could double down on both the $300 and $100 Amazon SIM promotion, but was a no go. Worth a shot anyway.

If you use the Sprint referral, it's $50 per account. So set up two accounts to get more.
so it's $50 per account not per line? If someone refer me and I sign up for 5 lines i only get $50, same as I sign up 1 line?

$10 discount per line for BYOD
Quote from chowdarygm :
There is a special promotion going on which is not showing up on the main page. Every line gets $10/month additional discount for port in / BYOD. It shows up when actually going through the ordering process.
Yeah, Sprint, didn't do a good job promoting the $10/mo discount making the Unlimited Plus $100 per month.

have you tried calling sprint?

if it's multiple lines, you need to call in anyway to give account info.
No, I have not call in yet. Will do that later in the day.

Actually KS vs Plus took me that long. If i crunch the numbers, KS looks better for 5 after the shenanigans discussed here (by margin of $$$). But who knows, will be ready for round 2. Smilie
I am in the same boat as you with 5 lines. I already did the math and same result as yours.

For 5 KS, did you use same address and paying w/same card?

A carrier can send out codes over-the-air (OTA) to lock/unlock a phone. I read posts in this thread that someone had their phones "re"locked by Sprint, which sounds like they were previously unlocked BY SPRINT (not the manufacturer) and now got "re"locked. I ported in my factory unlocked Visible Moto E6 on 3/14/20, and as of today it remains unlocked.
I've seen comments like this often in this thread but because I'm always a few pages back in the discussion I didnt reply.

Any time a Sprint phone is unlocked, it will be relocked as soon as you activate it again on Sprint. I've even been told if you swap the sim with another carrier, and then swap back to Sprint, it will relock, without even activating. Not sure about that but I'd assume its true.

None of this applies to a factory unlocked phone or other carriers phones that were unlocked. Not 100% sure about the latter, but fairly sure.
