Sprint WILL RELOCK your unlocked device as they did to mine. Not a single incident as friends and family of mine got their RELOCKED to the sprint network. We all had unlocked devices when signed up. Now all our phones are locked to Sprint. Thats illegal.
You have to stay for 90 days to keep the $300 and their unlock policy is 60 days, so while I agree they should not be re-locking phones, you can get it re-unlocked after 60 days and before your 90 day requirement is fulfilled.
Thanks! Ordered the BYOD Amazon SIM on Monday and was sitting on whether to switch my Iphone over. I felt a little dirty about going back to Sprint. I left them 4 years ago (after 18 years as a customer) and said I'd never go back.

Glad I did. $300 is better than $100 and I can still port out in a few months. No contracts on the Kickstarter plan. They automatically waived the activation fee by doing it online as well, but after looking at my confirmation email it says there will be a one-time credit of $30 within 3 invoices however that plays out. My first bill will be charged 30 days from today.

I was concerned with the Amazon reviews saying they were sent 4 of the same SIMs, but it worked flawlessly. Over chat the rep told me which one to use. I also asked if I could double down on both the $300 and $100 Amazon SIM promotion, but was a no go. Worth a shot anyway.

tmobile network?
After inquiring, I have been advised that T-Mobile starting in April 2019, they will be starting the migration of Sprint accounts/lines over to T-Mobile and its network. They also cannot guarantee any grandfathering in of Sprint rate plans. Period.

Did anyone plan this offer with preowned phone?

I had chat today with agent about checking if preowned phones are eligible for this offer and she confirmed that it is(saved chat screenshots in case ) Now ordered a preowned iphone and planning to port GV Number.

I called 844-229-9564 per the error screen. Talked to a rep who works at their call center in Manila. Very nice guy. The call lasted 1.5 hr due to the issues that I mentioned in my earlier post, but he was very patient. He confirmed that the device qualifies for a BYOD $300 GC. Again, none of the packaging/marketing info mentioned Boost.

I just received the phone today fron HSN. It's in a sealed box with a Sprint SIM. Never activated before, so I just used the SIM that came with the phone. The ported number came from Visible/Verizon.
Ok.. have you verified it's imei on byod page. Does it allow you to proceed further or it showed device already activated with Sprint. Since this. Is a boost or Sprint locked phone wondering how it allows you to enter sim details before contacting customer care

Not just that...u need a number, that was not used previously to verify/validate or associated with GV, before google will assign you a new GV number.

For every new GV number you want, you need a new mobile number so that you can validate. You can't use one mobile number to claim 2 GV numbers.
But if I have 5 "dirty" sprint #'s that I used recently with sprint, can I use 1 google generated # each from 5 GV accounts, port them to Sprint. . .AND THEN replace them with my 5 previous sprint "permanent #'s" on my GV accounts. . .and then link them to the 5 "new sprint #'s" is that how it works?

EDIT: those "5 dirty Sprint #'s from above" were the ones I had "ported" over but cancelled the order as this $300 deal broke before ports complete. . .but Sprint recognized the new sims (from 2 weeks ago) when I tried to do this again last night (and luckily this time hit a credit card declined)

After I received the phone, and before I started the process to add it to Sprint, I used the BYOD page to check its IMEI and it said the phone is eligible. It asked if I want to use the SIM in it (it knew/displayed the SIM number) or want to use a new SIM. I selected to use the SIM in it. When Sprint sells a phone, it already pairs/records the SIM number in its system. Same case with the pre-owned LG Tribute that I bought on Sprint web site a few days ago. It already knew the SIM number when I entered the IMEI.

Yes, but my account only has 2 lines. Don't know about accounts with more than that.

I'm not sure what you mean by dirty, but I was able to get at least 2 GV numbers using 1 sprint number. It might be the 3rd, depending on how quickly you get GV numbers, that the number gets locked out.

You can use Sprint's change number to use the same line if you need to get more GV numbers.

Will the first virtual IMEI activated phone be locked if I activate on sprint now even if it's active with different network or it need to b sim free...
Can I change to different IMEI later on without any issue?
How to ask Sprint to change since it is activated in virtual IMEI.
Did your porting completed in virtual IMEI and how you confirmed the same.
Your answers are appreciated

It is so stupid that prepaid cards have an expiration date. Funds were used to purchase the card so why the hell should they expire? I could understand a check having an expiration but having one on a card already loaded with funds is ridiculous
I just add them immediately to my Amazon giftcard balance so I don't have to worry about it.

There is no such thing as virtual IMEI. Once an IMEI is attached to an account, no one else can use it, or any Sprint MVNO, unless you swap it.

Once you have an account you can swap IMEIs/phones.

Be careful. Check your area's sprint coverage first. I'm in the Madison Wisconsin area, and sprint is horrible. Where I can get 4,5 bars of 4g lte with att and Verizon, sprint would get maybe 1 or 2 bars of 3g connection.
