Sprint WILL RELOCK your unlocked device as they did to mine. Not a single incident as friends and family of mine got their RELOCKED to the sprint network. We all had unlocked devices when signed up. Now all our phones are locked to Sprint. Thats illegal.
You have to stay for 90 days to keep the $300 and their unlock policy is 60 days, so while I agree they should not be re-locking phones, you can get it re-unlocked after 60 days and before your 90 day requirement is fulfilled.
Thanks! Ordered the BYOD Amazon SIM on Monday and was sitting on whether to switch my Iphone over. I felt a little dirty about going back to Sprint. I left them 4 years ago (after 18 years as a customer) and said I'd never go back.

Glad I did. $300 is better than $100 and I can still port out in a few months. No contracts on the Kickstarter plan. They automatically waived the activation fee by doing it online as well, but after looking at my confirmation email it says there will be a one-time credit of $30 within 3 invoices however that plays out. My first bill will be charged 30 days from today.

I was concerned with the Amazon reviews saying they were sent 4 of the same SIMs, but it worked flawlessly. Over chat the rep told me which one to use. I also asked if I could double down on both the $300 and $100 Amazon SIM promotion, but was a no go. Worth a shot anyway.

How does port-out process from Blue Beat work? Are there any shortcuts that eliminate having to contact customer service?
During activation you'll enter your email address, IMEI, SIM # etc. After activation, you'll get an email to set up online access. Get it set up, log out, and then log back in. The account number will be displayed and you have the option to change your PIN from the default (last 4 of phone number). No human interaction involved.

Sprint matches the phone's IMEI and the UICC, so it worn't work. You have to log in to the account and make a phone change, i see it is the account management but have never done it so don't know the details.
what if the imei of the phone not working.. without receiving the otp i cant able to login to my account to make changes.how can i do change? can i make change to any phone or only compatible ones?

Can you please provide detailed steps.
  1. Start at BF cashback website
  2. Click Sprint link-out from BF
  3. When you land at Sprint, click magnifying glass top-right of screen and search for "Tribute Empire"
  4. You get three search results, click on middle one, which should be $49 one that is in-stock
  5. Then, just follow checkout process and select a plan that indicates "Switch To Sprint + Get $300" under "Show More Features and Offers"
Important that you start from BF, because that is the source of $125 that makes the $49 phone "free".

Just to confirm, when I submit order, there is no place to request portin. I do it after acct is up and running, then call to port in and still qualify for 300 per line? I see this prom show in each line in cart but nowhere to put port in info.

port info will only show up if porting 1 line.

When I ported 5 lines, I had to send info to chat or call in.

Yes, if you have five lines, you have to call porting desk 866-437-1818.

Yes.

You can either call the 800 numbers in the wiki to give them the port in info or get your account number (call or chat or if you orders SIMS its on the packing slip) and set up an account to enter the port in info yourself. I entered it myself because I'd rather not have them make a mistake with the info.

Don't forget to use BF for cashback, do not use TCB.

Yes, you can, but unlike other carriers, you cannot just swap the SIM. You need to go into dashboard in your Sprint account online and re-assign the SIM to another phone. It is a straightforward, instant, self-service process.
are you sure moving a sim is that easy? I thought if it was active in a phone currently, you wouldnt be able to assign the SIM to another phone. However, if a phone is deactivated, then its sim is free to move to another device.

It will not get locked. Locking is a rare bug, and if it happens Sprint will sort it out for you, although sometimes the process can be time-consuming.
its not rare at all. I had it happen repeatedly to me over the last 3 years of being on Sprint.

Thanks. I don't see the offer. If you really want it for the existing acct, call in and ask them to add/accept the offer in your account and then you can do it online.
Call whom .. customer service department or account services department?

And tell them to accept what?
Never heard of this happening with sprint..

SIM and 450 units so it's enough to activate and port out. No CC needed. Need to supply an IMEI. Activation takes minutes. Just log out and log back in to get your account and PIN. PIN is last 4 of the phone number by default. Jot down the zip code for the port in to Sprint.
while creating account will it not ask for otp received in sms? for those who dont have access to phone how can they enter

You're right. It can't be reassigned, while active.

I guess I've been lucky that it has been rare for me and my Sprint friends. I will expand my data set to include your experience. Smilie
