Glad I did. $300 is better than $100 and I can still port out in a few months. No contracts on the Kickstarter plan. They automatically waived the activation fee by doing it online as well, but after looking at my confirmation email it says there will be a one-time credit of $30 within 3 invoices however that plays out. My first bill will be charged 30 days from today.
I was concerned with the Amazon reviews saying they were sent 4 of the same SIMs, but it worked flawlessly. Over chat the rep told me which one to use. I also asked if I could double down on both the $300 and $100 Amazon SIM promotion, but was a no go. Worth a shot anyway.

Option#1 - Please follow these steps:
From the home screen, tap Phone.
On the keypad, dial ##873283# and tap the Call button.
Tap OK. The handset will search for profile updates and install them.
Tap OK.
The profile is now updated.
Option #2: Please follow these steps:
Tap Settings.
Tap General.
Tap Reset.
Tap Reset Network Settings.
After port in, Internet was working in my new number but I was not able to call and receive any calls. CS suggested to go with above two options and my issue got fixed in less than 5 minutes. Calls and internet both are working fine.

1. Does a new Sim card automatically activate with the phone purchased or does it need to be added or get my own from somewhere else?
2. Is the port in request done immediately or after you receive the phone & sim in the mail?
I did not, but friend is telling me that they did?
