Sprint WILL RELOCK your unlocked device as they did to mine. Not a single incident as friends and family of mine got their RELOCKED to the sprint network. We all had unlocked devices when signed up. Now all our phones are locked to Sprint. Thats illegal.

You have to stay for 90 days to keep the $300 and their unlock policy is 60 days, so while I agree they should not be re-locking phones, you can get it re-unlocked after 60 days and before your 90 day requirement is fulfilled.

Thanks! Ordered the BYOD Amazon SIM on Monday and was sitting on whether to switch my Iphone over. I felt a little dirty about going back to Sprint. I left them 4 years ago (after 18 years as a customer) and said I'd never go back.

Glad I did. $300 is better than $100 and I can still port out in a few months. No contracts on the Kickstarter plan. They automatically waived the activation fee by doing it online as well, but after looking at my confirmation email it says there will be a one-time credit of $30 within 3 invoices however that plays out. My first bill will be charged 30 days from today.

I was concerned with the Amazon reviews saying they were sent 4 of the same SIMs, but it worked flawlessly. Over chat the rep told me which one to use. I also asked if I could double down on both the $300 and $100 Amazon SIM promotion, but was a no go. Worth a shot anyway.

Is there a possibility of getting $1500 rebate on one account with 5 lines?
I've 5 att lines that I can port. Get onto Sprint $100 , 5 lines plan...is that even a possibility?
Yes many people have done that. You will need 5 Sprint sims and compatible phones.

How do you get 2 KS lines in account. I have two numbers to port, but dont see how to select the 2nd line. I dont see a choice where I can say/slect/indicate that I have two numbers to port.

I am trying to do this with buy-a-phone. Any tips would be appreciated.

For phones brought from Sprint, when should we call Porting department to complete the porting? After order is placed or after phones are delivered?

I believe, once the phone is delivered, correct?
Call the Porting Dept when you receive the phone ordered from Sprint. The instructionsheets are inside the phone box.

I signed up for Sprint Unlimited Premium for $70/mnth w/ $5 autopay discount recently. Below is my brief experience with the process.

Moving from AT&T grandfathered unlimited data plan (unlimited talk/data, but limited txt messages and no hotspots) with an employer discount that came out roughly the same price. AT&T was my first cell carrier and I never tried any other carrier. Been with them roughly 20yrs. Porting my number was a new experience.

The signup process was pretty painful. Although my current iPhone 8 plus is unlocked thru AT&T GSM, it's not cross compatible with CDMA. So went thru the extra hassle of buying a used phone on eBay that could handle both signals. Found one in excellent condition and a better battery life. Will be selling mine for roughly the same price. The next step was painful/lot of work as I couldn't signup thru the website. Had to call. Spoke to someone who appeared to be overseas due to his thick accent and his phone connection was terrible. Lot of static background noise and I could hear myself echo thru his headset. Managed to get a SIM Card and activation without extra cost. Took about 2 business days to get SIM Card. I want to say total phone conversation between two different days was 1 1/2-2hrs probably including waiting for someone to answer/on hold while they inputted my info. Near the end of the call, he really tried selling me the additional insurance plan that would cover any damages/replacement of my phone. I had to refuse at least 6xs.

Haven't really had an opportunity to test signal while driving, but have experienced a brief dead zone near where I live (I live in Central Florida/Orlando). Too early to tell whether moving to Sprint was worth it or a mistake. $300 giftcard is nice and hope it actually happens. Extra bonus points for getting Amazon Prime as my membership just expired before I moved. And additional bonus points for Tidal and Hulu.

I'm hoping with Sprints merger with Tmobile that they will provide good service / jump on the 5g bandwagon fairly soon...and not ditch the prime membership.

Also, when I activated my phone, it was stuck on 3G. I had to do some tinkering / self google troubleshooting to get it on LTE. Glad I didn't have to call customer service and managed to self resolve.

On the Free year BYOD unlimited. 2 months left. I have 2 essential phones on 2 lines, so can add more free lines. Curious if I could buy 2 iPhone x for $300 each and activate them on these lines and numbers.

Use the old essential phones and port in 2 throwaway gv numbers for 2 $300 GCs.

yes that would work, just make sure you have your essential phones off your BYOD account before this deal expires.

Awesome. Been trying to snag a couple of free iPhones and this seemed like an interesting workaround

No. I moved from free BYOD on first week of March. Yes. You can add BYOD paid lines and number should be away from sprint for past 45 days. Remember free BYOD numbers are not eligible for this offer.

When adding a new line by porting, do you use your own name? If I need to add someone else to use the additional line, I don't see they asking for DOB.

Also, if I refer a someone and that person needs to be added into my account as a new line, can both of us still get the referral rewards?

To my understanding, you can't get referral bonus if added to your account, if you want the extra 50$ referral, you let someone use your referral code and set up his/her own account, then you both get $50 for the referral.

Referrals are for accounts, not lines.

I use my own name when porting.
