Sprint WILL RELOCK your unlocked device as they did to mine. Not a single incident as friends and family of mine got their RELOCKED to the sprint network. We all had unlocked devices when signed up. Now all our phones are locked to Sprint. Thats illegal.
You have to stay for 90 days to keep the $300 and their unlock policy is 60 days, so while I agree they should not be re-locking phones, you can get it re-unlocked after 60 days and before your 90 day requirement is fulfilled.
Thanks! Ordered the BYOD Amazon SIM on Monday and was sitting on whether to switch my Iphone over. I felt a little dirty about going back to Sprint. I left them 4 years ago (after 18 years as a customer) and said I'd never go back.

Glad I did. $300 is better than $100 and I can still port out in a few months. No contracts on the Kickstarter plan. They automatically waived the activation fee by doing it online as well, but after looking at my confirmation email it says there will be a one-time credit of $30 within 3 invoices however that plays out. My first bill will be charged 30 days from today.

I was concerned with the Amazon reviews saying they were sent 4 of the same SIMs, but it worked flawlessly. Over chat the rep told me which one to use. I also asked if I could double down on both the $300 and $100 Amazon SIM promotion, but was a no go. Worth a shot anyway.

I tried to checkout with 5 new lines and LG phones, but after entering name and SS# got another screen that said "Your Order Requires Additional Processing". Tried calling the number listed but that went to Telesales and they just wanted to do a new order for me.

Previous Sprint customer, which is probably why I have a hangup. Is there any way to complete this online? With the stores closed not sure what my options are.
I ran into the same problem when i did it. Sprint tele-sales sucks big time. They ended up taking my order and porting over the lines even though i had told them i dont have sim cards. Also added sprint complete which i specifically refused.

In the end to sort it put i had to spend a couple of hours on phone and also go to a open sprint corporate store 45 mins away.

With tele-sales its a hit or miss. If you get an over eager sales rep u are screwed. Also you will miss out on BF or T.cb cashback.

Ordered 5 LG Tribune on 4/2, received order today, all 5 lines were ported fine, submitted 5*300 rebate and referral.
Did you call them to complete the porting? If yes, did they ask for name of the account from which you are porting from?

If you are talking with the rep, they will ask for the name of the account porting out. In reality, it is rarely needed.

Guys dont overthink..

They are not asking your ssn for sprint acct.. They are asking ssn for the old carrier porting info as they assume its always required if u r porting from postpaid carrier... Typically they ask acct no, pin, ssn, name and address..

Its not scam..simple it is.. Just tell them u r porting from prepaid carrier so ssn can be skipped.
For ATT numbers received from ebay, all 5 numbers had different account number. In that case as part of porting, what should we tell as the name for each of the 5 numbers/accounts?

I noticed a very strange behavior today, I purchased a number from ebay and ported over, but when the line gets activated it shows a different number? I even went back and checked at my sprint checkout page screenshots and I could see the number I gave was the one from ebay, but in account it shows different number.

I also saw 300$ in the cart while checking out, when I am trying to register for 300$ on sprint promo page, it says invalid number.. so I went and check the number on the account and its a different number (was able to submit the rebate with that number).. but this is so strange... any suggestions?

I'm not entirely certain and could be wrong, but Sprint may be assigned a temporary number and you'll end up with the number you bought.

Did you submit the rebate with the number you bought from ebay or the new number? Might have been better to wait since the rebate could be submitted (a few weeks) later.

you can give the same name and SSN as 999-99-9999, as long as phone, account, zip and pin number is correct.. it doesn't matter

Yes. I added BYOD to existing account. Try to add 4 lines to your account before 4/9. Hope you used BF for max $$.
Do you have to activate the phone before that date or as long as you purchase before that it'll be OK?
