Sprint WILL RELOCK your unlocked device as they did to mine. Not a single incident as friends and family of mine got their RELOCKED to the sprint network. We all had unlocked devices when signed up. Now all our phones are locked to Sprint. Thats illegal.

You have to stay for 90 days to keep the $300 and their unlock policy is 60 days, so while I agree they should not be re-locking phones, you can get it re-unlocked after 60 days and before your 90 day requirement is fulfilled.

Thanks! Ordered the BYOD Amazon SIM on Monday and was sitting on whether to switch my Iphone over. I felt a little dirty about going back to Sprint. I left them 4 years ago (after 18 years as a customer) and said I'd never go back.

Glad I did. $300 is better than $100 and I can still port out in a few months. No contracts on the Kickstarter plan. They automatically waived the activation fee by doing it online as well, but after looking at my confirmation email it says there will be a one-time credit of $30 within 3 invoices however that plays out. My first bill will be charged 30 days from today.

I was concerned with the Amazon reviews saying they were sent 4 of the same SIMs, but it worked flawlessly. Over chat the rep told me which one to use. I also asked if I could double down on both the $300 and $100 Amazon SIM promotion, but was a no go. Worth a shot anyway.

No downside but may be limited to 1 line. Your wife can open an account with her ssn. Can't have 2 CC accounts on one SSN.

what's the cheapest way to get 5 phones to activate? Is there a way to just pay for 5 lines and not activate? (I have 5 IMEI numbers I can use, I checked them on sprint.com byod, they are clear but those phones don't work)

Did anyone port from T-mobile to Sprint recently? I did everything online successfully with the port and received a confirmation email, but no one can find my account number when I call or chat.

Iphone 11 takes 516TQ. There is a link in wiki which list sims for different phones. It looks like if I buy the LG tribute, I will have to buy a separate 4 sim kit to be able to use my iphone 11 on that line

I recommend you at least have 1 that works. There are certain things that require text verification and if you don't have a working phone, it's very difficult or you might not be able to verify.

Activation in Sprint's eyes means number will port from original carrier, so keep that in mind. You don't have to put sim or have a working phone. I had a few phones that didn't work or don't have with me when I signed up.

iPhone 11 can use 416TQ and 516TQ, see S4GRU link in wiki(may need to scroll over) In fact Apple store carries the simglw416TQ for Iphone 11. But if you want to buy 4–1 kit go ahead and you would have a sim for each phone to save wear and tear on sim slot and make it easier to swap online.

my experience tells me that normally takes 1 hour to 1 day for the system to find your number after your online order.

I'm not sure if porting department is open today, but if you give the number you are porting, they should be able to find your account. Some reps refuse to give your account number, so ymmv

I noticed after the t-mobile merger, when you swap a device, you'll see your new device almost right away. Compared to before that it took minimum a couple of hours to a day.

No. I purchased two AT&T port in numbers from eBay and all went fine. But I used BYOD for port in and didn't try with purchase new device from Sprint. Are you getting any error message?

​I recalled I read somewhere from Free BYOD mega-thread that, if you are a previous Sprint customer and never closed your Sprint account (presumably by porting-out), you would encounter this problem. You need to call Sprint to trash your old account before starting new order.
