Glad I did. $300 is better than $100 and I can still port out in a few months. No contracts on the Kickstarter plan. They automatically waived the activation fee by doing it online as well, but after looking at my confirmation email it says there will be a one-time credit of $30 within 3 invoices however that plays out. My first bill will be charged 30 days from today.
I was concerned with the Amazon reviews saying they were sent 4 of the same SIMs, but it worked flawlessly. Over chat the rep told me which one to use. I also asked if I could double down on both the $300 and $100 Amazon SIM promotion, but was a no go. Worth a shot anyway.

1. if the device is compatible with the network
2. the serial number of the device (if its on a blacklist etc)
I don't think they can tell if the device is sim locked on another carrier.
However it seems that even though the SIM is activated (received email confirming) the porting is not done.
I *must* call the porting department? There is not way to complete the porting online?
Edit: I called and they could not port Google Voice number due to "an issue" and had to escalate to a supervisor. The issue is with "bandwidth" which is the backend provider for Google Voice.

If there is any delay in porting the number to say the 10th then the promo would be denied...correct?
Is Sprint still delivering overnight & I assume orders go out the next day?
This is a new one... so I ordered some of the LG phones Apparently one of the phones was 'sold' to two different customers, maybe a SDer LOL. They put a hold on the order, didn't say anything. I had to call in and prod before someone figured it out. Now I ask, why would an internal error require the customer to intervene. Shouldn't fulfillment say, hey... wait... we can't ship this one phone to two different customers... fix it. /rant
