Glad I did. $300 is better than $100 and I can still port out in a few months. No contracts on the Kickstarter plan. They automatically waived the activation fee by doing it online as well, but after looking at my confirmation email it says there will be a one-time credit of $30 within 3 invoices however that plays out. My first bill will be charged 30 days from today.
I was concerned with the Amazon reviews saying they were sent 4 of the same SIMs, but it worked flawlessly. Over chat the rep told me which one to use. I also asked if I could double down on both the $300 and $100 Amazon SIM promotion, but was a no go. Worth a shot anyway.

If the phone didn't have a sim or the sim was used with another phone, Sprint would ask for a sim or it'll force you to order one.
no need to turn them on though.
For your remaining line, you can open a second account and port that line into the Kickstarter plan, which though not as lucrative as 5-line combo, is the best option when you have only a single line.
Important: the phone numbers that you are porting should not have been on Sprint before.
