Sprint WILL RELOCK your unlocked device as they did to mine. Not a single incident as friends and family of mine got their RELOCKED to the sprint network. We all had unlocked devices when signed up. Now all our phones are locked to Sprint. Thats illegal.
You have to stay for 90 days to keep the $300 and their unlock policy is 60 days, so while I agree they should not be re-locking phones, you can get it re-unlocked after 60 days and before your 90 day requirement is fulfilled.
Thanks! Ordered the BYOD Amazon SIM on Monday and was sitting on whether to switch my Iphone over. I felt a little dirty about going back to Sprint. I left them 4 years ago (after 18 years as a customer) and said I'd never go back.

Glad I did. $300 is better than $100 and I can still port out in a few months. No contracts on the Kickstarter plan. They automatically waived the activation fee by doing it online as well, but after looking at my confirmation email it says there will be a one-time credit of $30 within 3 invoices however that plays out. My first bill will be charged 30 days from today.

I was concerned with the Amazon reviews saying they were sent 4 of the same SIMs, but it worked flawlessly. Over chat the rep told me which one to use. I also asked if I could double down on both the $300 and $100 Amazon SIM promotion, but was a no go. Worth a shot anyway.

I was trying to open a no-credit-check for her because I already knew that she doesn't have a credit file. On a no-credit-check account, they still want to verify that your name, address, etc is of a real person. But if you're not in any public record (no voter's registration, no driver's license, owns no property, etc) then they have nothing to check against.

If it were denied due to poor/no credit history, then the explanation would be different from "We were unable to verify your identity".
State resident id card if no driver license.

Why you want to port to GV? You can port to sprint directly from mint if porting to sprint is your goal
Because that number was on a Sprint account until Jan. 29th. It's been over 45 days but due to the promo wording regarding 'previous numbers' I'm hesitant to port that particular number to Sprint.

I have two phones left I can use.
One is an old Moto E6 and I have an ATT number ready to port in.
The other is my primary phone (G7) currently on MINT (the line referenced above previously on Sprint). I'm considering porting this number to GV, then using the phone with an ATT ebay number for another account on Sprint. I may just roll the dice and do a direct MINT>Sprint port ... but not sure if it will either be ineligible or worse, throw a red flag onto all my other 6 lines.

Can you reuse a SIM card and phone? As long as Sprint never had the phone number?

I tried 6 times in different chat departments and all I am getting is

"Amanda: I am sorry to hear you are having difficulties. Please call 1-866-782-8777to speak with our special Telesales team that can assist you with taking advantage of this offer."
Did you get sorry message after identity verification or after submitting cc payment? Chat with a credit or fraud department for IDENTITY, change cc if for payment

I opened 1 line up originally and received it today. I gained access to the account and am trying to port/add 2 more lines. During the checkout process, the $300 offer does not pop up for either phone lines.

I contacted support and was told this

Even if the offer doesn't show up on shopping cart, you would get it if you are adding a new line, purchase a phone outright and also porting your number.

Could anyone confirm pls?

I already called credit department 3 times for me, my mom and my wife. They are clean since they never had account. Each time they just told me to go to a store with ID. Telesales apparently can create an order for me but I'm reluctant as I'll miss a bunch of cash back.

super tempted to create an account under my dad who lives in another state.

Didn't Sprint confirmed this through your conversation? Save the chat.
But yes many did not see the $300 during check out but were able to successfully registered their telephone number on Sprint and received an email notification with tracking.

yeah you need sims to port the numbers. when you do BYOD it sometimes skips asking you to buy more sims after you buy the first one. It's a glitch. you need to call and order more sims
No. If your phone is on sprint network previously, it has a SIM card number linked to it, there is a SIM card number under the phone, look carefully for "buy new sim" to get a new one if you no longer have it. @popomama

thats pretty much what this whole thread is about.

random strangers helping each other out.

confirming / denying what sprint reps say which is often times wrong
