Tough one.

Quote from adamjeeps :
Current situation:
Have 5 lines at T-Mobile I want/need to port to Sprint for this deal. Waiting on $900 rebate from last Costco deal. Today my status was changed to approved, but will be sending via virtual prepaid card soon. I have 5 phones ready to activate on Sprint, and have 5 sim Sprint SIM card kits to use if necessary. But I can not cancel any lines until I get that $900. Also, 2 of the phones at T-Mobile are still locked for 10 more days. I do not really care about that as I have 2 other phones to use for this deal. Do I:

A) Risk losing the $900 by porting out numbers tonight? T-Mobile is clear do not cancel lines before getting the $900, and I am not sure which number the $900 card is coming to.

B) Go ahead and begin the porting/ordering process tonight online and get 5 new sim cards and get the $900 between now and when the sim cards arrive for activation?

C) Wait and hope this deal gets extended?

I am leaning towards B, as I understand as long as the order is dated 4/9/20, the $300 should be able to be claimed as long as activate the sim cards on the ported numbers within 10 days.

Thoughts??

buy/generate phone numbers from ebay/GV and port those to Sprint on an order with 5 LG Tributes. You likely can move your better phones to these lines later.

I got a bill for $144 and I am in NJ state. I see the below charges. Does anyone know what they are?
Administrative Charge
$12.50
Federal Univ Serv Assess Non-LD
$1.08
Regulatory Charge
$4.95
Total Surcharges
$18.53

I also see additional taxes as follows
New Jersey State 911 Tax
$4.50
New Jersey State Sales Tax
$2.99
Total Government Taxes & Fees
$7.49

I don't understand what's that administrative charge is.

Also, did anyone notice that when sign-up, the monthly charge they have shown as $100 for all 5 unlimited plus lines? But when I received the bill, it shows $115. Is that cheating?

There are lots of taxes and hidden fees masquerading as taxes.
A hold over from the old land line days.

On another note. Has anyone actually tried using these LG Tributes?

The signal around my house is pretty bad for all the carriers. But this phone's reception seems especially bad compared to my first tier phones.

The picture below shows the Sprint signal strength on my LG Tribute. I'm in Topeka KS.

you can do B. or even if you do A, you'll be placing the port-in order tonight but the t-mobile line won't be canceled until you enter the account info and pin with sprint, which you can do later because they don't ask for that during checkout.
t-mobile rebate usually goes from approved to sent within a day, or two at most. most likely you'll get it in a text around midnight tonight. then you can withdraw the virtual card to your bank account right away.

Typical standard charges for post-paid phone services, many hidden fees, glad I switch to prepaid. Fee is clear and no contract.

My house was full by the end of March and I quit inviting friends over. Yet they kept coming as recent as today and I have no room to seat them. See below.

Which app is that? I'm using Signal Strength and it doesn't give the signal strength in dbs.

But ya, I'm disconnect most of the time and if I'm holding the phone up in my North side window I can get 12mbits up and almost 1 mbits down. Blazing!

by the way, you should have luck in trying to get the phones unlocked today even if it isn't 40 days yet. agents are able to bypass this at their discretion. just be nice, and ask for a manual override. also be sure they do a "Permanent Unlock" override, and not "Temporary".
