Sprint WILL RELOCK your unlocked device as they did to mine. Not a single incident as friends and family of mine got their RELOCKED to the sprint network. We all had unlocked devices when signed up. Now all our phones are locked to Sprint. Thats illegal.
You have to stay for 90 days to keep the $300 and their unlock policy is 60 days, so while I agree they should not be re-locking phones, you can get it re-unlocked after 60 days and before your 90 day requirement is fulfilled.
Thanks! Ordered the BYOD Amazon SIM on Monday and was sitting on whether to switch my Iphone over. I felt a little dirty about going back to Sprint. I left them 4 years ago (after 18 years as a customer) and said I'd never go back.

Glad I did. $300 is better than $100 and I can still port out in a few months. No contracts on the Kickstarter plan. They automatically waived the activation fee by doing it online as well, but after looking at my confirmation email it says there will be a one-time credit of $30 within 3 invoices however that plays out. My first bill will be charged 30 days from today.

I was concerned with the Amazon reviews saying they were sent 4 of the same SIMs, but it worked flawlessly. Over chat the rep told me which one to use. I also asked if I could double down on both the $300 and $100 Amazon SIM promotion, but was a no go. Worth a shot anyway.

Since these lines are extras and not really going to be used daily.......how much useage do you think we need on them as in daily, monthly or just a few calls and we're good to go?
For logging usage purpose, I have 3 phones on Sprint and one on FreeUp. On the first of the month, I use phone 1 to call phone 2, and phone 3 to call phone 4. Let them "talk" to each other for about 20 minutes then close the calls.

I don't know. I'm thinking about doing that deal with my two unlocked GSM phones and buy two phone numbers on fleabay. They have a $55/month for 2 lines plan for ppl over 55, probably $60 with taxes & fees. Staying 3 months because it takes 6-8 weeks to get the GC processed. Total outlay is about $200 ($60 x 3, plus $20 for two SIMs, $8 for two phone numbers, get 5% back from my credit card for cell phone service), get $400 in GC. Too bad there are no cb at the usual sites, no money for using a ref.
Only regular plans qualify special discounted plan do not for example senior or firefighters

I've placed byod orders for a few lines successfully and received the sim card. I followed the instructions online to activate them and the porting is complete, but the lines don't show up on the account. When I call them, they say that I'm approved for a fewer number of lines. They asked me to send documentation for the numbers being ported, I sent it and they replied back saying that the request is denied saying that I have to be with them for 13 months before they approve the additional lines.

Anyone in the same boat?

Do 4 lines for $800, if tax and fee are low, do the essentials one for $120, otherwise do the inclusive tax and fee $160 for 4 lines, including free Netflix trial

Does the phone number I entered when I placed the order have to be the same phone number when I port in? I need to change 1/5 lines
Posts in the thread say you can change the number when you port in (hopefully you mean just one out of the five). But make sure you enter the number you actually end up porting on the rebate form because that's how it's going to be tracked.

Check transfer status, should be showing the lines you have, it takes some times to show in account dashboard

Hi, I'm still missing a couple of lines on the account dashboard that show as successfully transferred (on the port status page). It's been like this for about a couple of days so far. Is this a cause for concern? Thanks.

Give it some times, my account originally shows 3, 4, 5. If you have 5lines showing port successfully you should have it on your account. Did you have bill generated? The bill will tell you something. Well, can you check to see if the lines disappear from your previous carrier? If they are your daily limes you should worry about losing them. .........

My dashboard shows 3 lines and I have to click "View all phones" under it to see all 5 -- try another browser or the Sprint app

Noticed that earlier! Sneaky User Interface!! But in my case the issue was with the limit placed on the # of lines on my account.

A Sprint porting dept. rep yesterday let me know that the numbers were ported but not activated on my account EEK! He tried talking to Sales/CreditReview depts. to no avail.

So I sent them an email with the documents they have requested. They replied back initially denying the request. I asked for a clarification and I got a reply back saying that the exception was approved! Roll Eyes (Sarcastic) On the phone with them. With this, I've officially spent more time with Sprint over the phone than I have with my family LMAOEEK!

Pretty sure I did the rebate correctly but have the "invalid activation date" message for each line. Ported 5 lines, ordered 5 phones on 4/8. That's the date I input for the rebate. Should I resubmit for activation date (4/10)?
