Glad I did. $300 is better than $100 and I can still port out in a few months. No contracts on the Kickstarter plan. They automatically waived the activation fee by doing it online as well, but after looking at my confirmation email it says there will be a one-time credit of $30 within 3 invoices however that plays out. My first bill will be charged 30 days from today.
I was concerned with the Amazon reviews saying they were sent 4 of the same SIMs, but it worked flawlessly. Over chat the rep told me which one to use. I also asked if I could double down on both the $300 and $100 Amazon SIM promotion, but was a no go. Worth a shot anyway.

Account in good standing = make payment by/before due date, so it has nothing to do with second bill if it is not due yet.....
My options are:
A) do the AT&T deal for $110 profit
B) get TMobile for $40/month for a 3 month cost of -$120
$110 > -$120 last I checked...

If you select the plan before you add sim to the cart (for BYOD) then the plan price shows 40/mo. But after adding the sim to the cart, it reverts back to $75.
Shady stuff.
Just this past week, we had to escalate and talk to multiple people in order to finally get it. For my phone, I got ahold of someone who knew what they were talking about via phone and although he was not able to push the unlock notification through (despite attempting to do so on his system), he created a "Click It Ticket" and I finally got the notification 2 days after that.
For my wife's phone, we escalated using the Sprint Community forums (there are people there who will handle your case directly) and they were able to push through unlock in 12 hours. Although, it took about a day before someone on their forums picked up my case.
For the Pixel 3 XL, your phone is not completely unlocked until you get a system notification telling you so. After that, the OEM unlocking option under Developer Settings will be available if you want a final confirmation.

Pixel 3XL Users: How to request additional support via the Sprint Community website to unlock your phone if it has not received the unlock notification via normal methods
1) Go to the Sprint Community website: https://community.sprin
2) You will need to register for the Sprint Community. This is separate from your normal Sprint login. On the Community page, look for a separate Log In button slightly below the normal login button (it looks to be about 1 inch lower on my side). Once you click on that you should also see a link to register as a new user.
3) When you register, use a valid email address because you will not be able to post until your email has been validated.
4) Once registered, create a new topic (don't just reply to an existing one). Go here: https://community.sprin
5) It will take about 1 day for someone to respond and take your case and about 1 more day for them to process your request. Basically, someone will ask you to DM them your phone number and/or IMEI. It should be all done 2-3 days after your post your request. You need to keep your phone on and connected to Sprint during this time to make sure you receive it.
Here is my post for reference in case you want to reuse the same language:

Pixel 3XL Users: How to confirm your phone is completely unlocked
For the Pixel 3 XL, your phone is not completely unlocked until you get a system notification telling you so. After that, the OEM unlocking option under Developer Settings will be available if you want a final confirmation.
1) Most important: You should receive a system notification on your phone. It will say: "Operator lock removed. The device can now be used on any network." As long as you receive this, you should be fine. However, if you want to check even further, do step 2.
2) Check that "OEM unlocking" is not greyed out under Developer options.
-- To access Developer options:
-- Go to Settings > About Phone. Scroll to the bottom of that page and tap the "Build number" a bunch of times (like 5) until it asks you to login. It will then confirm that you are now a "developer".
-- Go to Settings > System > Advanced > Developer options. "OEM unlocking" is halfway down on the first screen. As long as that is not greyed out, you are good to go. If you are not planning on messing with any of these settings, I would turn Developer options back off (turn it off at the very top of the page). If you don't know what you are doing, I would not recommend messing around with the settings in there.
I would appreciate feedback from the folks who have done Costco rebate for Sprint and maybe other carriers recently. I would truly appreciate your comments. I am also looking at you the experts for feedback
I am upgrading the device (to Note9) on an existing line X as the offer applies to both existing and new lines. I will activate the device on my acct for line X for few hours and get all the software updates, etc. After activating the device, I want to go back to using my current device (paid off BYOD) on line X. I am not canceling the line X. Will it jeopardize the Costco Membership Wireless rebate (mypromochoice.com)? Does the device have to be active for 90 days continuosly on line X to receive the Costco rebate?
I am getting conflicting info hence reaching out to the experts with real data points rather than opinions. Several folks on reddit confirmed that they have bought new device for a new line at Costco for TMo, then started using it on their existing line before they received rebate ( the costco shop card rebate via membership wireless mypromochoice.com) and still got the rebate. So it seems you don't have to continuously use the new device on the associated line till you get the rebate. I want to use the new device on a diff line on the same acct, but will do so after I get the rebate.
Has anyone gone through similar process and still got the costco rebate recently? Truly appreciate the feedback here. Thank you.
