Sprint WILL RELOCK your unlocked device as they did to mine. Not a single incident as friends and family of mine got their RELOCKED to the sprint network. We all had unlocked devices when signed up. Now all our phones are locked to Sprint. Thats illegal.
You have to stay for 90 days to keep the $300 and their unlock policy is 60 days, so while I agree they should not be re-locking phones, you can get it re-unlocked after 60 days and before your 90 day requirement is fulfilled.
Thanks! Ordered the BYOD Amazon SIM on Monday and was sitting on whether to switch my Iphone over. I felt a little dirty about going back to Sprint. I left them 4 years ago (after 18 years as a customer) and said I'd never go back.

Glad I did. $300 is better than $100 and I can still port out in a few months. No contracts on the Kickstarter plan. They automatically waived the activation fee by doing it online as well, but after looking at my confirmation email it says there will be a one-time credit of $30 within 3 invoices however that plays out. My first bill will be charged 30 days from today.

I was concerned with the Amazon reviews saying they were sent 4 of the same SIMs, but it worked flawlessly. Over chat the rep told me which one to use. I also asked if I could double down on both the $300 and $100 Amazon SIM promotion, but was a no go. Worth a shot anyway.

I have 5 lines and I am waiting for 5 BYOD $300 gift cards.

While waiting for this gift card, can I upgrade 1 line without impacting $300 BYOD?

I wanted to use current Costco offer to upgrade one line:

Sounds risky to me. The terms require a BYOD phone, or one (new or used) purchased and paid in full. This Costco offer sounds like buying the phone on installments. Just my 2 cents.

No, it's not on installments. Full price purchase and then wait for 90 days to get Costco gift card.

WG gc, strike 2.

No go on buying gc using WG gc. Even though the POS approved the payment type, the cashier called her manager over to verify they are not supposed to allow it to happen.

Probably read the flyer ad again, it requires 24 months installment to get the Costco shop card....

Do you think paying it off right away will do something and not qualify you?

I don't have a positive answer... not sure if it allows early pay off before the receipt of rebate since I don't know the complete rebate offer terms, but the device installment agreement itself definitely tells that you can pay it off anytime, usually carriers stop monthly credits when installment agreement is completed

Let me rephrase it, Costco sprint deal requires you to sign/enter a 24 months device installment....

Based info from the flyer ad, new line/upgrade is eligible, sign a 24 month device installment for a eligible device, online rebate registration within 30 days of purchase.
And tells it takes up to 14 wks to receive the rebate
On the rebate submission website, mypromochoice.com. "Please note that you must have continuous service for 90 days for your rebate to be valid." - line is active continuously for 90 days since you sign the installment

I wrote out detailed step by step instructions on how to claim the referral bonus whenever I sent out my link. The steps match those below. I think the additional time meant I lost out to some of the other quicker members...but none of my referrals were denied!
I'm glad experts took time to write this out. I ordered a port and a SIM at the same time. Based on activation processes on ATT Prepaid and Visible I figured my failure to get "overnight" SIM was due to their need to activate the SIM they were shipping to be associated with the ported number.

My wife clicked her link while we were awaiting our delayed SIM to ship - I fail to see how they have the right to deny the referral without posting that particular "gotcha" in their T&C. I tried to chat and was told I must call customer service. Not optimistic about them protecting brand satisfaction for a brand that is about to die.

Overall, my sequence matches what is expected - with the exception that we clicked a link before we received a SIM - she did go on to activate the line which is ALL that I saw specified in T&C.

Wish I had pre-ordered SIM number 2 so I could have protected myself from their stupid website. At least my referrer and I will each get $50 but my wife and I should have also gotten $50 when I referred her.

I tried to chat on the website but they told me I have to call during specified hours. Before I waste any more time - has anyone ever gotten relief on an "unsuccessful" referral? I don't have to worry about scrutiny since this was legitimate porting of two lines - one for me and my wife. It is an MM for me even with the lost $100 but anyone who eyeballs this should see me as an enthusiastic new Sprint customer trying to bring over his wife before the great deals expire. I do think they could stick me on a particular Term from T&C - I was not quite 24 hours active when I became a referrer. I activated 3/31 and tried to refer my wife on 4/1. My wife clicked her referee link within 30 days of activation but technically before the SIM went into the phone for full activation.

That means you need to keep the line active. It doesn't imply you need to use the device you purchased on that line.

It's not full price at the start. It signs you up for 24 mo EIP. You can pay off the full amt if you are not getting any bill credits. But I would not do this on BYOD $300 GC lines.

Did you activate the device at all on their respective lines once? Or you kept them in their boxes as is? Thx

So I specifically used the word "line", not "phone/device"....

The $50 referrals are prepaid MasterCard that can be used anywhere MasterCard is accepted.
