Sprint WILL RELOCK your unlocked device as they did to mine. Not a single incident as friends and family of mine got their RELOCKED to the sprint network. We all had unlocked devices when signed up. Now all our phones are locked to Sprint. Thats illegal.
You have to stay for 90 days to keep the $300 and their unlock policy is 60 days, so while I agree they should not be re-locking phones, you can get it re-unlocked after 60 days and before your 90 day requirement is fulfilled.
Thanks! Ordered the BYOD Amazon SIM on Monday and was sitting on whether to switch my Iphone over. I felt a little dirty about going back to Sprint. I left them 4 years ago (after 18 years as a customer) and said I'd never go back.

Glad I did. $300 is better than $100 and I can still port out in a few months. No contracts on the Kickstarter plan. They automatically waived the activation fee by doing it online as well, but after looking at my confirmation email it says there will be a one-time credit of $30 within 3 invoices however that plays out. My first bill will be charged 30 days from today.

I was concerned with the Amazon reviews saying they were sent 4 of the same SIMs, but it worked flawlessly. Over chat the rep told me which one to use. I also asked if I could double down on both the $300 and $100 Amazon SIM promotion, but was a no go. Worth a shot anyway.

why wouldnt h2o work anymore? I have some of their sims I was planning to use just for this purpose.
The last time I used H2o wireless to port in 3 years ago, I paid $1 per sim and did not have to add any money to the H2o wireless account to port in my number.

Now, according to step 3 from "How can I activate my h2o® Wireless service and transfer my current number?"

3.Fill in all of the fields including your current carriers account information, your billing address and email, your h2o® Wireless SIM card information, and select the plan(the cheapest plan is $10) you want to activate your account under.

I don't remember having to do previously. And paying $11 to port each of my numbers is too much.

Did you purchase at Best Buy? I'm calling in anyway and will try to play dumb...
Yep, I used the SIM that I bought at Best Buy on 3/13. I had ordered a SIM KIT on Sprint web site on 3/13 but the estimated delivery date was 3/18, so I used the BB KIT.

I am speaking with a lady who says my phone is showing as discounted and not as a bring- your-own- device. I asked what that means. She said it means you bought the phone from us. I said this is an unlocked moto g4 that I bought from Motorola years ago. She said she couldn't escalate to the escalation team so I'm waiting for a manager now. They are just trying to cheat people out of their money. Because when I checked my account it said that they couldn't see a service location. Now they're telling me my device is discounted.

It looks like people are going to have to end up settling for a class action lawsuit. That's what it's looking like right now if they're doing that to everybody.

Even if you had bought that phone from Sprint, that wouldn't be a reason for denial. The promo on their site said BYOP or buy a phone from them and pay in-full (not on installments). Many people here, including me for a later line, did that.

Select $10 plan and leave airtime purchase field blank. Funding the plan is optional. $1 still works.

ugh, thanks for the info. I have a few sims that I'll probably end up trying in 3-4 weeks hopefully.

I am seeing folks posting that they received $300 GC. Have folks who activated lines in April received the $300 GCs?

That's good because I still have 5 unused sims from years ago.

Your registration was denied because the sales location of the number you registered is not eligible for this offer.
Even I had same invalid message, and Sprint promo rep said, for some reason all 5 rebate had same phone number registered....rep fixed it for me, and I received all my 300 rebate cards within8 days of fixing......So Call Sprint promotion team, they will fix and approve the rebate...

h2owireless port-in info.

Here is what the form will look like initially.

Once you fill the H2O SIM card info, it will give you plan and other information.

Leave the H2O airtime pin blank which is optional. Select Pay As You go $10 LTE plan. Submit the request. If no error, port will usually complete within 30 minutes or less. You will get the email confirmation from H2O about this port-in request. You check your Sprint acct after 30 minutes and the line should be gone with the wind.

You don't have to load any money onto the account if you don't want to keep the number active on h2o. Just continue with the port, and h2o will automatically cancel the account after 30 days.

Your account and phone number will be canceled if the balance remains at $0 for thirty (30) consecutive days.

It just cancels the phone line and not the account. I have had the same acct for more than 2 years now. I have ported out 5 to 6 lines from free BYOD plan over the last 2 years.

It seems the sales location info in the rebate status is referring to where one purchased the SIM card. This was somewhat of a mystery till now, but it seems it is referring to where you got the SIM card from. Initially, the thinking was whether the line was activated over the phone or at third party location, etc., and not online. But it seems more clear now as to what the sales location info was referring to.

I am glad that i got the SIM card for my Moto E6 from Sprint store (free) and not Best Buy. Wouldn't want this headache. There is already enough anxiety in life with recurring layoffs at work.

Not sure how this will impact people who used SIM kit from Amazon.

I bought a SIM card from sprint when I activated a new line and still received denied status today. So I think it's something else, not because of sims purchased from best buy
