Sprint WILL RELOCK your unlocked device as they did to mine. Not a single incident as friends and family of mine got their RELOCKED to the sprint network. We all had unlocked devices when signed up. Now all our phones are locked to Sprint. Thats illegal.
You have to stay for 90 days to keep the $300 and their unlock policy is 60 days, so while I agree they should not be re-locking phones, you can get it re-unlocked after 60 days and before your 90 day requirement is fulfilled.
Thanks! Ordered the BYOD Amazon SIM on Monday and was sitting on whether to switch my Iphone over. I felt a little dirty about going back to Sprint. I left them 4 years ago (after 18 years as a customer) and said I'd never go back.

Glad I did. $300 is better than $100 and I can still port out in a few months. No contracts on the Kickstarter plan. They automatically waived the activation fee by doing it online as well, but after looking at my confirmation email it says there will be a one-time credit of $30 within 3 invoices however that plays out. My first bill will be charged 30 days from today.

I was concerned with the Amazon reviews saying they were sent 4 of the same SIMs, but it worked flawlessly. Over chat the rep told me which one to use. I also asked if I could double down on both the $300 and $100 Amazon SIM promotion, but was a no go. Worth a shot anyway.

Well this is getting annoying. RHQ status cleared off all error messages this afternoon so I thought I was in the clear after speaking to the rep.

Just received a bunch of automated emails today from Sprint (06/16) saying they received my rebate requests for all 5 lines, same tracking numbers as my initial rebate submission on 04/10.

Now the Sprint tracker says my rebates are INVALID because of the sales location error AND activated out of promo date. Bought 5 phones directly from Sprint website and ported over 2 numbers from T-mobile and 3 from GV.

Now I get to spend some time with them on the phone tomorrow. Great 😔.

For reference, I have not hit my 90 days yet. I that date is July 10

Here is my update.

I received emails for the rebates this morning. These emails are carbon copy of the emails I received when I submitted my rebates. Not sure what purpose does it serve.

It is 90th day based on activation and 89th day based on rebate submission.

I didn't have speedbump message as well as no missing items prior to today. They were cleared about 10 days ago.

Rebate status shows invalid due to sales location on both sites.

It seems removing speedbump, missing XYZ, didn't do anything except to make you feel good at that time.

Like others, I will be spending time on the phone today.

I haven't seen a single case where the rebate was approved automatically for anyone without intervention.

Same here. The website shows
Your registration was denied because the sales location of the number you registered is not eligible for this offer.

Try sending an email to the one I posted, maybe you have better luck then calling.
It's been a very weird day.
At 9:16am, I sent an email to [email protected] asking for help with the missing referrer's cards.
At 9:17am, I received an email from Sprint which is a reply to my inquiry last Friday. This email says: We are emailing you in response to your request.
After a review of your referral account, we're happy to let you know 8 $50 Reward Cards will be issued to you. Please allow about 6 weeks for it to arrive, then go treat yourself!
At 9:19am, I received an email from CebuPromoEsc which says: We have received your Port-in Credit Escalation request. You will receive a response within 24 - 48 hours. For your reference, your case number is xxxxxxxx. We are working on your request and are experiencing greater than normal lead times. Please allow additional time for your request to be processed. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and appreciate your patience.

So it appears that the email from Sprint was sent before CebuProEsc read/replied to my email, at it came just one minute after my email was sent to Cebu. How weird is that?

Adding to the weirdness...I logged into my wife's account. Its bill should've been Autopaid at the end of Monday 6/15, but it showed the amount is Past Due and to make a payment ASAP. I chatted with a rep who said the autopayment was declined and asked if I want to use a different card. I asked her to run the payment through again using the same card and it went through. Confused

I'm going to call Sprint Promo next about my denied $300 GC for line 1, which should have been resolved. Don't know what weird thing will happen with that call.

Regarding the auto pay failures, it's mostly due to the TMobile network issue yesterday. I have received similar message from TMobile last night.

The weirdness continues...Sprint Promo web site is now down for maintenance (probably due to so many changes being made with denied rebates Big Grin). I called 844-382-3312 which appears to be "screening" calls about the rebates before passing the calls onto the Promo dept. The rep was reading off a checklist on his screen: "Make sure customer activated between 3/13 and 4/9" "Make sure customer use BYOD and ported in number" "Make sure customer line was activated at least 90 days ago" "Make sure customer has a tracking number". When he got to "verify the tracking number", he got the message that the Promo web site is down for maintenance and wouldn't go any further. He gave me a direct phone number to call him back later when the site is back up.

He did read the note that the lady rep who helped me last Saturday wrote in the case. Sounds like she did what she promised to do (escalate the case to higher up for expediting my $300 GC). Apparently the department/person who can approve it hasn't done so yet. Mad

With things the way they are, I will hold off calling for a few days.

What a mess.

Ah the old:

"Server upgrades
We are currently performing scheduled maintenance, services will be resumed shortly. Thank you for your patience."

trick.

Let's see what new hurdle Sprint is going to put into place to receive the rebates. As if calling, chatting, and emailing multiple reps was not enough already...

Congrats.

Was the 917 reply coming from the [email protected]? Sometimes the email server tends to delay emails from "unknown email address", either your 916 email triggered it or just a coincidence.

The 9:17am email came from [email protected] with the title "Customer Care Issue [#xxxxxx]" and a thread of previous email I had exchanged with them.

Now I wonder if ppl can still get the $300 if they already received the $100 amazon rebate since Sprint will manually review $300 rebates…

I called again after the promo website came back up. I had called earlier.

They had escalated the approval and that I should see updated tracking info within 24-48 . hrs. And that I will receive GCs within 13 business days.

Not convinced with these conversations, but I would wait two more days and see if the status changes. After that I plan to call them several times a day.

I placed two BYOD orders on 3/15 from the Sprint website and got confirmation emails that even had a line item of "Switch To Sprint + Get $300"
I activated both lines on 3/17 and submitted the promotions on 3/18.

At some point I also got the speedbump message on the RebatesHQ website. Yesterday when I checked both websites said they were pending. When I checked today the status on both say "Your registration was denied because the sales location of the number you registered is not eligible for this offer."

I just called 844-450-7865 and said I was checking on my status. A very nice lady answered and placed me on hold for a few minutes. She came back and said the same thing about the sales location, but after reviewing my account I did in fact order from the correct location and will do a "one-time" manual override as a courtesy.. Ok thanks, I won't argue this "one time courtesy" since she is approving them.. but still off putting that it was a courtesy. Maybe a slight language barrier or something.

Anyways, she told me I will be receiving two $300 mastercards in the mail on or before July 3rd.

Did you get emails this morning? Did the rebate status update after she manually updated?
