Sprint WILL RELOCK your unlocked device as they did to mine. Not a single incident as friends and family of mine got their RELOCKED to the sprint network. We all had unlocked devices when signed up. Now all our phones are locked to Sprint. Thats illegal.
You have to stay for 90 days to keep the $300 and their unlock policy is 60 days, so while I agree they should not be re-locking phones, you can get it re-unlocked after 60 days and before your 90 day requirement is fulfilled.
Thanks! Ordered the BYOD Amazon SIM on Monday and was sitting on whether to switch my Iphone over. I felt a little dirty about going back to Sprint. I left them 4 years ago (after 18 years as a customer) and said I'd never go back.

Glad I did. $300 is better than $100 and I can still port out in a few months. No contracts on the Kickstarter plan. They automatically waived the activation fee by doing it online as well, but after looking at my confirmation email it says there will be a one-time credit of $30 within 3 invoices however that plays out. My first bill will be charged 30 days from today.

I was concerned with the Amazon reviews saying they were sent 4 of the same SIMs, but it worked flawlessly. Over chat the rep told me which one to use. I also asked if I could double down on both the $300 and $100 Amazon SIM promotion, but was a no go. Worth a shot anyway.

why not just call sprint to cancel all lines?
Probably to avoid the hassle. I'm hoping there's some porting deal to get rid of Sprint.

Have you ever called a cable company to cancel? The rep will transfer you to the Customer Retention dept which will ask you a bunch of questions on why you're leaving, then offer you one deal after another to stay.
I called T-mo earlier this month to cancel after doing their deal, it was a long call.

What to do with the lines after the first month?
A few options:
1. Port out to another deal.
2. Let the lines expire and deactivated, numbers gone.
3. Buy more service if you want to use Tracfone.
4. For me, Tracfone is my main service, I will ask the rep to add the unused units from those SIMs to my main phone.

3x BYOD lines activated on 3/25 -- just got 3x rebate tracking emails this morning and checking status shows invalid (denied due to sales location)

3x $80 = $240 BF cash back is payable so redeemed that -- was showing 6/23 est date

Will call promo dept in an hour to hopefully speed up the 3x $300 cards -- don't want to wait a few days to see if it fixes automatically

Remaining 2 lines will hit 90 days in 2 weeks

Edit:
Just called 844-450-7865 and the rep said she fixed the 3x $300 rebates (call took about 15 mins) -- my remaining 2x lines are still pending 90-day validation period so she couldn't fix those

Just said "my $300 rebate is showing invalid, can you fix that for me?" Gave 1st phone number, name, account PIN, 1st tracking number -- she asked if it was multiple lines/rebates so I gave the other 2 tracking numbers as well (no mention of referral)

Tracking still shows invalid -- I'll check again in a few days

Nice going. Did you say you double dipped on the Amazon $100 per sim deal and the $300 gc?
Yes, got lucky there!

I know by experience. I had the 1-year free BYOD plan from Sprint multiple times (alternating between my wife and I). Before closing out, I maxed out paying the bill with my 5% Chase Ink card and got the refund by check.
How much can you max out over the bill amount?

I ended up calling back today since it still shows as invalid on the website. The representative saw where I called last week and says he will have his supervisor check. It sounded like it still was not approved on their end and they approved a manual registration for both lines to get the $300 mastercard. He says he processed it while I was on the phone and provided a transaction number to 'guarantee' that I will receive them.
Finally looking good for me. After calling twice and being told I would be approved, the status on my two lines changed from Invalid to "In Process Your registration is valid and is scheduled for final processing. Your card will be delivered within 7 business days."

Yes, got them from Amazon - https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B013OUS19E
To port out, you need to choose some plan, but choose not to add any value initially. Port out happens and service will not work unless you add value. That's good enough if you want to cancel the lines from Sprint.

i imagine it'll still be a lot faster than making 5 orders from 5 browser sessions for 5 sim cards and then activating each one, just to avoid a 10 mins phone call LMAO
plus, new numbers are always available on ebay for $3-5 if there's another port-in deal somewhere.

the stated reason for cancellation can be as simple as "i don't need the lines anymore". the key during the call is to be insistent and assertive that you'd like to cancel. any hesitation on your part will make the agent ask different questions and make offers.

i used to let the retention reps ask questions, and the calls took a while. nowadays i just say i want to cancel, that's it, no making up excuses, and they end it pretty quickly once they're sure the customer's mind is made up.

Yes it is to buy $15 airtime loaded on to .99 BYOD SIM. Go to Shop @ Trafone and you should see Airtime/Plan and it will ask if you need SIM, etc.

Link redirect from here probably screws with it

Go to TF website and pick the $15 monthly plan -- select option to buy sim card and pick the network you want (ATT/TMo/VZ)

You'll see $15 plan + 0.99 sim in cart -- apply the promo code for $15 discount
