Glad I did. $300 is better than $100 and I can still port out in a few months. No contracts on the Kickstarter plan. They automatically waived the activation fee by doing it online as well, but after looking at my confirmation email it says there will be a one-time credit of $30 within 3 invoices however that plays out. My first bill will be charged 30 days from today.
I was concerned with the Amazon reviews saying they were sent 4 of the same SIMs, but it worked flawlessly. Over chat the rep told me which one to use. I also asked if I could double down on both the $300 and $100 Amazon SIM promotion, but was a no go. Worth a shot anyway.

FWIW, I read T-mo's Q&A by their reps and they say they don't prorate the final bill. However, I cancelled my T-mo lines on June 2nd with the billing period ending on June 15th and the final bill shows a credit of $23.41 (full month is $79 with taxes and fees) which they say will be sent via a debit card.
My findings:
ATT and Sprint specifically state final bill is not prorated in the agreement.
While T-Mobile and Verizon didn't mention it in the agreement.
But Verizon has a support article about final bill that states
"Pro-rated credits will appear on the bill for any charges that were billed in advance after a disconnect date."
https://www.verizon.com/support/r...final-bill
So Verizon is likely to prorate final bill of residential services... not sure if it applies to Verizon Wireless Service.
One thing to note is that hpham_53 called to cancel T-Mobile service and gave up the numbers instead of porting out. Will not know if porting out to cancel or simply cancelling makes a difference on the final bill

I have seen mentions of Venmo/PayPal but they appear to charge fees for use of a credit card.
if anyone tries this with virtual/physical card, please update if it worked or not.
it works for TCB virtual visa. need report whether BF virtual card does too.
