Glad I did. $300 is better than $100 and I can still port out in a few months. No contracts on the Kickstarter plan. They automatically waived the activation fee by doing it online as well, but after looking at my confirmation email it says there will be a one-time credit of $30 within 3 invoices however that plays out. My first bill will be charged 30 days from today.
I was concerned with the Amazon reviews saying they were sent 4 of the same SIMs, but it worked flawlessly. Over chat the rep told me which one to use. I also asked if I could double down on both the $300 and $100 Amazon SIM promotion, but was a no go. Worth a shot anyway.

I've been using TF since 2001 and am quite familiar with its quirks, but I've ported in a number only once, in 2003 when bringing my wife's phone from postpaid Verizon to TF.
I have a few H2O SIMs on hand at the moment. I'll use them to port my 3 lines out of Sprint. Last week I bought 3 TF BYOP SIMs preloaded with $15 plan for $1.12 each, I can activate them with new numbers and "harvest" the units from them for my main phone on TF. Nothing wasted.
TF sometimes gives you 10 times more minutes in the process of internal automated ports/transfers, but probably you wouldn't want to risk your main phone's end of service date and existing units and just do "harvesting" through chat or call.
I need to keep both current Sprint numbers, so I need an option that would allow me to port out later, either back to Sprint or to a third carrier. Tracfone is my first choice for now, will see if it works as intended.
That being said, for me, it was the only "safe" way to buy a MO at WM. I believe folks have posted using the Sprint cards directly at WM to buy a MO with no issue. When my last $300 card arrives, I may try that.

However, I made my request on Saturday, and had expected it to clear last night. But so far, nothing.
If it is not there by tomorrow morning, I will be a little concerned.
