Sprint WILL RELOCK your unlocked device as they did to mine. Not a single incident as friends and family of mine got their RELOCKED to the sprint network. We all had unlocked devices when signed up. Now all our phones are locked to Sprint. Thats illegal.

You have to stay for 90 days to keep the $300 and their unlock policy is 60 days, so while I agree they should not be re-locking phones, you can get it re-unlocked after 60 days and before your 90 day requirement is fulfilled.

Thanks! Ordered the BYOD Amazon SIM on Monday and was sitting on whether to switch my Iphone over. I felt a little dirty about going back to Sprint. I left them 4 years ago (after 18 years as a customer) and said I'd never go back.

Glad I did. $300 is better than $100 and I can still port out in a few months. No contracts on the Kickstarter plan. They automatically waived the activation fee by doing it online as well, but after looking at my confirmation email it says there will be a one-time credit of $30 within 3 invoices however that plays out. My first bill will be charged 30 days from today.

I was concerned with the Amazon reviews saying they were sent 4 of the same SIMs, but it worked flawlessly. Over chat the rep told me which one to use. I also asked if I could double down on both the $300 and $100 Amazon SIM promotion, but was a no go. Worth a shot anyway.

Thank you!!! when will they generate the next bill, would it be 7/16? given the most recent period 5/24-6/23?
The bill will generate on the first day of each new cycle, it is due on the 16th each month, should port out before July 23, the last day of cycle before it closes

service cycle of 7/1 to 7/31 has billing cycle dated 6/1 to 6/30, (bill one month in advance) but it is due 7/26 (postpaid service)
B/c customers used 25 days of service before payment, Port out before cycle closes on 7/31 (that is, all lines must off your account on 7/31) to avoid paying for next bill...

Hpham_53 please back me up

thank you! so my next payment that is due 7/17 is irrelevant, it's still due, whether I port out before or after 7/17? I get it that I should port out before 23rd...

Yes, you can NOT avoid paying for 4 months even if you have the service for 3 months. Their first bill has no billing period. They generated 4 bills for the 3 months of service. Here's what happened to me:
Activated 3/24
1st: No billing period indicated, $41.52, Paid 4/16
2nd: 03/24 - 04/23, $41.49, paid 05/17
3rd: 04/23 - 05/23, $41.49, paid 06/16
4th: 05/24 - 06/23, $41.19, to be paid 07/17
Ported out 06/25

Same thing happened to a friend of mine in similar situation.
thanks.

Yes, you have to pay on 7/17 because this bill covers the service from 6/24 to 7/23...I guess you most recent bill(the 4th bill) has a billing cycle of 5/24 to 6/23 if you cycle closes on the 23rd of each month..

Don't pay attention to the "billing period"; the way Sprint uses it is confusing, Just think about "service period", which starts on your 1st day of service and runs through the 30th or 31st day, then another service period starts. The bill is due about 3 weeks into each service period.
yeah I'm not sure if Sprint could possibly make this less clear. If I just go by activation date of March 27, I should have until July 26th to leave and not pay a 5th month. To be safe, I'll leave well before that, probably about 2 weeks early.

Unfortunately I dont have enough H2O cards so I'll have to call in and cancel and hope they do it right.

You don't have to wait until 7/17 for your bill to be autopaid. If you're going to bail before 7/23, you can go ahead and pay that bill anytime between now and 7/17. Just log in, click on Make A Payment. That way, your balance due is $0, and you can port out anytime you're ready (before 7/23).

My service period will end on 7/13. The bill was to be autopaid on 7/6 but I manually paid in on 6/30 and my balance is now $0. Tomorrow, after I've received my last $300 GC and have used it to buy money, I'll port out both lines in that account.

Buy h2o cards, port out is the safest method to deactivate the line. I wouldn't believe on sprint, based on the run around they are making us do for rebate or referral $

Best Buy has it for $1 curbside pickup and target too has it got $1 (but has to be shipped)
I had bought from amazon for $1 each in april

When I ordered online from Best Buy last week, they had a limit of 5 H2O SIMs per order. When I got to the store, they've reopened for in-store shopping. If someone needs more than 5, just go into the store and buy as many as you need, or bring along another person just in case.
