Sprint WILL RELOCK your unlocked device as they did to mine. Not a single incident as friends and family of mine got their RELOCKED to the sprint network. We all had unlocked devices when signed up. Now all our phones are locked to Sprint. Thats illegal.
You have to stay for 90 days to keep the $300 and their unlock policy is 60 days, so while I agree they should not be re-locking phones, you can get it re-unlocked after 60 days and before your 90 day requirement is fulfilled.
Thanks! Ordered the BYOD Amazon SIM on Monday and was sitting on whether to switch my Iphone over. I felt a little dirty about going back to Sprint. I left them 4 years ago (after 18 years as a customer) and said I'd never go back.

Glad I did. $300 is better than $100 and I can still port out in a few months. No contracts on the Kickstarter plan. They automatically waived the activation fee by doing it online as well, but after looking at my confirmation email it says there will be a one-time credit of $30 within 3 invoices however that plays out. My first bill will be charged 30 days from today.

I was concerned with the Amazon reviews saying they were sent 4 of the same SIMs, but it worked flawlessly. Over chat the rep told me which one to use. I also asked if I could double down on both the $300 and $100 Amazon SIM promotion, but was a no go. Worth a shot anyway.

Diane P.: Service cancellation is a delicate process and will be assisted on account service department as it is involving a closure on our billing system, thus it requires us to forward it to a dedicated team who will complete the request. I am now forwarding your account details to them, in order for them to properly endorse you. Please make a follow up on this request, Are you able to call the ACCOUNT SERVICES TEAM at 1-888-211-4727. Please let me know if you can call the department.

Steps to follow at Walmart for MO;

1. Once you received the GC, go to Myprepaidcenter.com and activate the card.
2. After activation, Select Set PIN option and set the four digit PIN.
3. In Walmart, Just ask MO for $299 and they will say $0.88 fee and total will be $299.88.
3. You need to swipe the card and immediately select Cancel and it will give you the option like Debit, Credit and few.
4. Select Debit and enter PIN which you set it already.
5. They will hand over the MO with $299 value.

Note - Don't mention like this is gift card or reward card.

I believe someone said the direct number to account services team (aka retentions department) is 844-382-3317, the number given via live chat is regular customer care number....if you want to cancel your lines...

Will this exact method work for say a $899 mo using 3 x $300 rebate cards?

Yes. It will work for $899 too but I never tried multiple cards yet. hpham has done it several time with multiple cards without any issues. But YMMV.

I've never ported out of Tracfone. Based on what xfinity says "TracFone. Your account number is the MEID or IMEI serial number on your phone, or the last 15 digits of your BYOP SIM card".

To activate a Tracfone BYOD SIM:
1. Log into your TF account, use ADD DEVICE to add the SIM to your account. This step is optional, but it'll make it easier to manage the SIM, check balance, etc.
2. Click on ACTIVATE on the SIM that you want to activate, select Keep My Number (if you're porting in), provide port-in phone number and acct #, PIN of previous carrier.
3. Once the port-in is completed (log into TF account and check status/messages later if it's not done immediately), put the SIM into your BYOD phone and make test calls/texts, set APN, etc.
Thank you. I am going to set this up tonight and try porting a couple of lines to make sure every thing works ok. I was hoping for Visible, but with $50 for BYOD, it is not worth it since I don't use these lines.

yes it will. I did it exact same thing drained 3x$300 using full amount and just paid .88 cents for a $900 MO. Some say to leave a penny but I didn't have any issues taken the full $300 each card. That was at my local WM, YMMV.

Do one card at a time to avoid more hassles.

Has Sprint locked anyone's phone?
I don't have an easy way to check and I am thinking it could be harder to get the device unlocked after cancelling.
U can get it unlocked even if you don't have service...make sure you keep the same SIM card handy if indeed the phone is locked and u find out later. You can always call Apple or sickw.com and check the current status.
