Sprint WILL RELOCK your unlocked device as they did to mine. Not a single incident as friends and family of mine got their RELOCKED to the sprint network. We all had unlocked devices when signed up. Now all our phones are locked to Sprint. Thats illegal.
You have to stay for 90 days to keep the $300 and their unlock policy is 60 days, so while I agree they should not be re-locking phones, you can get it re-unlocked after 60 days and before your 90 day requirement is fulfilled.
Thanks! Ordered the BYOD Amazon SIM on Monday and was sitting on whether to switch my Iphone over. I felt a little dirty about going back to Sprint. I left them 4 years ago (after 18 years as a customer) and said I'd never go back.

Glad I did. $300 is better than $100 and I can still port out in a few months. No contracts on the Kickstarter plan. They automatically waived the activation fee by doing it online as well, but after looking at my confirmation email it says there will be a one-time credit of $30 within 3 invoices however that plays out. My first bill will be charged 30 days from today.

I was concerned with the Amazon reviews saying they were sent 4 of the same SIMs, but it worked flawlessly. Over chat the rep told me which one to use. I also asked if I could double down on both the $300 and $100 Amazon SIM promotion, but was a no go. Worth a shot anyway.

Finally got my $300 GC and used it in Amazon GC

then go back to sprint, after paying off 4th bills, it should be ok to port out H2O sim w/o contact sprint and avoid being charging to my credit card later day.

If everything is correct above, do I need to contact Sprint to remove my iphone IMEI/ESN for my iphone from their database?

As I remember, like textnow or some CDMA carrier, even we cancel account, phone IMEI/ESN still bind together their database and cannot use other carriers when doing New carrier IMEI/ESN check

pls advise , thx
Port out will cancel line(s), No need to contact sprint, if line is cancelled , the associated phone/IMEI is free, though IMEI still bind to the SIM card number....

You can check whether your phone is off sprint or not, https://www.sprint.com/en/shop/br...:BYOD:Shop

Before port out, it will tell you this phone is activated on network, after port out is complete, it will tell you phone is compatible to bring to sprint

I just checked, looks like the LG tribute empire phones cannot be activated on Verizon, anyone knows the reason? Thanks.

Although the Tribute is VoLTE capable on Sprint, it doesn't have the required LTE band (13?) to work with Verizon. If you have a Visible Moto E6 from a swap deal, it'll work.

The same here "have to turn off find my iPhone" when swapping an iphone out. Don't know why. Anything to do with lock/unlock?

Yes, sold an OG iPhone SE to friend a few years back, tried to be sleazy and used its imei for this $300 gc deal to park a line. And when it was time to swap the line to another phone, Sprint system would not do it until find my iPhone was turned off. So had to tell him that his iPhone is still in my account and if he can turn it off find my iPhone. 😊

Thanks a lot for the reply, now I know see. Now I don't have enough eligible phones to port to Verizon, as most my phones are LG tribute I bought from Sprint,. Guess they work with ATT.

Yes, the unlocked Sprint LG Tribute works with AT&T. I used mine to do the AT&T deal even while the Tribute was still being used on Sprint. Their two systems don't talk to each other.
