Hello, I hope you're well and healthy.
T-Mobile is offering T-Mobile and Metro data customers some temporary benefits due to coronavirus affecting many people (emphasis and link are mine):
- Starting now - ALL current T-Mobile and Metro by T-Mobile customers who have plans with data will have unlimited smartphone data for the next 60 days (excluding roaming).
- Providing T-Mobile and Metro by T-Mobile customers an additional 20GB of mobile hotspot / tethering service for the next 60 days – coming soon.
- Working with our Lifeline partners to provide customers extra free data up to 5GB of data per month over the next two months.
- Increasing the data allowance for free to schools and students using our EmpowerED digital learning programs to ensure each participant has access to at least 20GB of data per month for the next 60 days.
- Offering free international calling for ALL current T-Mobile and Metro by T-Mobile customers to Level 3 impacted countries [cdc.gov].
- Supporting the FCC's Keep Americans Connected Pledge focused on ensuring residential and small business customers with financial impacts do not lose service.

T-Mobile added that its network is operating at 100% reliability.
AT&T, Verizon and Comcast are also waiving late fees and providing unlimited data. Those carriers, plus T-Mobile and Sprint, all signed the FCC's pledge to not terminate residential or small business services for those who can't pay bills during the coronavirus pandemic; waiving late fees; and opening their Wi-Fi hotspots to all Americans for the next 60 days.
What I find interesting is that some plans charge based on usage, but due to a virus, somehow their networks can all of a sudden sustain unlimited data for everyone?

I would have preferred more minutes to be honest. But beggars can't be choosers as they say, right?
I'm pretty sure one of the Uncarrier moves early on was eliminating overage charges. So in essence, all T-Mo postpaid plans should have unlimited calls and texts (grandfather plans included). Reach out and double check with them on this.
