Should allow you to run dual 4K monitors or TVs. Claims to work with Mac and Windows. MSRP $105.99. FWIW, my experience with Thunderbolt docks has been mixed, but I haven't tried this one.

Note this doesn't have Power Delivery, so you'll have to plug in another cable to charge your device.

I know this is pretty important to many people.
Unless you're in the habit of carrying large monitors around with you, why would you bother carrying the dock? Leave it at your desk.
No PD. Pass.

Good deal if you're one of those who likes having an anorexic laptop, but don't mind carrying around an extra box for whatever reason

This is pretty important. Many people want a single cable they plug in at their desk, get power, hardwired peripherals, and monitors connected. That's the vision of Thunderbolt 3 and any dock that doesn't do that is likely to disappoint. If you DON'T need this to also be a power source then feel free to buy as this is a great deal IMO.

Thanks for pointing that out; I didn't notice it. It also doesn't have another Thunderbolt connector, so you can't daisychain.

Should be OK if your laptop has more than one Thunderbolt jack, though, or a separate power input.

I noticed that, but they didn't mention what a "full load" meant. Both HDMIs? HDMI + network? + all USBs?

I just researched that, you can't have dual vga extended from usb-c. You could have dual vga mirrored but who wants that.

I got a company-issued laptop with thunderbolt recently and started looking into what options I have to hook it up to my 2 displays at home... Can someone ELI5 me why most of those USB-C -> HDMI adapters are so darn expensive? Some can reach $150+ basically for a small docking station...

I am just spoiled by $2-3 HDMI->VGA, DP->HDMI, HDMI->DVI etc. and similar adapters and don't get what's so unique in USB-C?
