I'm a novice drone flyer. I bought the Mavic Air from Microcenter for $500... Should I return and buy this instead?

fark no. Mavic Air is quite a bit better than the Mini. I would definitely keep the Air over a mini.

Mavic Air is the most enjoyable flying experience I've ever had with a drone.

Yes return it. Unless you plan to do professional shooting, paid gigs, then keep the mavic air. The Mavic Mini has a longer flight time. You don't have to register it due its lightweight. Has all the same specs except for camera color science and top speed. The mini was built for novices.

But what about comparing the price points to value? Mavic Air $500, this is like $230 with discount

Is the Verizon eGift card actual Visa or similar card or can it only be used at Verizon?

This beats the Woot deal a few weeks ago, where it sold for $299.99+tax. In for one!

The main difference between the air and mini is a couple more sensors, you can shoot in 4k and raw, and higher speeds ( useful when following moving objects like a car)

If you are just using it for casual use and don't care about about shooting in raw or 4k - the mini is the way to go. it gets better flight time, smaller, quieter and also it's specifically designed to be under the 250gram FAA requirement to be registered. Yes, because of the weight the mini won't be as stable in winds as the air.

I've tried two different credit cards and both said Verizon cannot process the payment. First show pending authorizations, WTF
