I bought the S1 with 2 Batteries and 256GB Micro SD Card combo on Amazon for $256 a few weeks ago. I'm pretty blown away with the drone. The recorded video is insanely good and the range on flat ground (rural mix of farm land and heavy pines) is roughly 1.5 miles before any drop in signal. Still controls perfectly I just haven't pressed flying past 3 out of 5 bars of signal. Battery claims 40 minutes but real world (in the middle speed flight mode) is more like 32-35 min per battery. Drone takes almost zero skill the fly. My wife hasn't played a video game since Wii Sports and she was flying completely instinctively.

FWIW, I bought one of those $65 Metro by T-Mobile Moto G Stylus to use as a dedicated display (couldn't care less it is locked to Metro). Hasn't gotten here yet but the absurd brightness on that should be a great fit for a drone display. My Samsung S25 is fine but I worry about that falling off the controller so don't want to risk using my actual phone long term.

P.S. The extra batteries look like a pain to come by right now as they are backordered everywhere and I wish I had gotten the charger (can only charge via the drone if you don't have the charger).
