SlickdealsForumsDeal Talk4K UHD Digital Films: Robin Hood (2010), Everest, Dirty Dancing (1987), Chappaquiddick, Replicas or Robin Hood (2018) $5 Each via FandangoNow
I wouldn't worry about it. They're owned by Universal and are default installed in TCL TVs and all over the place. There's been rumors of Universal buying Vudu and possibly integrating the two services (would make sense)
Whether they do or not, Universal certainly won't be getting rid of their piece of the streaming service pie. And if you buy an MA title, they're not going anywhere no matter where you buy it from.
I also feel like with the theater closures, Fandango will be leaning more on FandangoNOW to try and make up the lost revenue from ticket sales.

Anyone know the odds of Fandango ending their whole FandangoNow service? I feel like out of FandangoNow, Vudu, Amazon, iTunes, etc., that FN would be the one to close its doors first....

So hypothetically, if I buy MA movies from a service that gets shut down, those movies would stay in MA? (Dumb questions I know, but stuff I've always wondered)

Yeah exactly. If buy a MA title you can access it at any one of several providers.
But how many of these services have been shut down to begin with where people lost all their purchases? I mean if they get sold they will be sold to a company that wants the service and it's subscribers. nobody is going to be buying one of these things just to shut it down.

Yet Sony Vue went under and people said same pretty much.... FN is weakest chainlink now... We do not own digital anyways we lease the license aka rent and when signing up it says that and can removed for any reason aaaaand you waive right to sue.

It already happened with ultraviolet, as long as link was good when it went away, you didn't lose anything

Chappaquiddick is interesting... but really slow. And I like slow dramas... but it was almost too slow for me. It was good enough to watch once.
