Lots of snobs here. I have this in my room for my tv and music and it sounds great and offers plenty of rich bass. If you are not an elitist, it's a good sub.

Dont look on wattage. Look for Frequency. This is overpriced. Check out Dayton Sub-1500

maybe a good deal? not sure 10" speaker will pass waiting on 15"
300W is 'peak', not RMS.

Terrible deal!!! Get the Dayton sub-1200. Better performance/cheaper.
The only "good" klipsch 10" is the better "110" model and it costs WAAAAAAAY more, although you can try to find the Jamo 110 "clone" for cheaper.

Home subwoofers are always powered, so they're an active speaker.

Any links for the Dayton? I'm not finding them under $200 right now but I can see prior deals were under $150.

Meh, not bad.

I love my R-120SW.

IRT the Dayton replies, it might be good or better, but it won't match. That's the killer for me.

But the R-120SW is more than enough for my medium sized living room.

Now I'm looking for a sub for my back porch HT.

Not always, some can be passive powered by your reciever or external amp. It isnt common but they do exist.

How is this comparable to the Costco R12SW deal?
