I have this, it is good, more of a dry lube that doesn't attract dirt. What is a better approach to spraying this stuff all over everything is to replace your rollers with ball bearing nylon rollers (the ones that look kind of like rollerblade wheels). Then the door will be very quiet and not need any lubricant.
WD40 is a solvent and is good at things like dissolving rust. This is a lubricant, which reduce friction between surfaces. Two different products for different uses.
as a maintenance man i deal with and use these products, but my $.02 is to remember that the WD stands for Water Displacement, and this is why unless clearly specified you shouldn't use it for lubrication needs. Yes, it will quiet a hinge, but that's a minor quick fix......but it'll be back

Will good all grease be better than this?
I thought WD-40 is not the thing to use for lubricating. How is this thing different from WD-40? Basically I am asking if this will ruin my garage door.

Light-duty lubricants, such as WD-40, are only suitable for cleaning the tracks of an automatic garage door. Because an overhead garage door opener has a heavy workload, a sturdier lubricant than WD-40, such as silicon spray or motor oil, is required to keep it operating smoothly and quietly.

I cant speak to this product, but I prefer White Lithium grease spray for lubricating garage door parts. Definitely do not use standard WD40, it is not meant to lubricate.

It's 25% off and the big advantage over grease or WD-40 is that this one dries. It doesn't collect dirt that decreases the lubricant's effectiveness and can actually act as an abrasive on the hinges.
