What's wrong with inflatable? They're obviously lower quality but for people like myself and friends of mine we found them affordable while in college and had a great time.

Not as durable perhaps. I would not go in the middle of the lake on it tbh, you can have a bug/bird pinch it and you're screwed.

Considering many of us are up the creek without a paddle, this could be a useful deal....

I would recommend against making comments on things you don't have experience with. The Intex inflatable kayaks are GREAT and are quite durable. And when they go on sale for less than $70 (sometimes less than $50), they're a friggin' STEAL! They come with a pump, seats and even two paddles. I take them as checked baggage on Southwest and it is one of the greatest travel moves ever invented. With any gear, though, you'll only want one person per boat for any trips of distance.

Furthermore, they have multiple chambers, so worst case is that one of your chambers looses air and you have to limp back to shore. You won't drown, though. Plus, the fill valves are in the boat so in most cases, you'd get a pin hole that you could refill with your lungs in an emergency.

Unless someone chimes in that the quality of these is great, I would say this is a terrible deal. Those pelican sit-on kayaks go on sale for $150 and you don't have to buy two. Yeah, they come with paddles, but they don't look all that quality, especially when they don't show a close up of them. I wouldn't even bite if I was looking for two kayaks.

I'm seeing $189 for a single Kayak with paddle in store. Not sure how this is a deal for 2.

You're probably not looking for a 10' kayak if you're breaking 275. I would suggest something much longer and more stable. You'll thank me later.

Look up Sea Eagle. Not all inflatables are cheaply made. Had a Sea Eagle for 4 years now and have taken it down low grade whitewater multiple times every summer.

Not a good deal. In club warehouse price for one is under 200$. These go on sale on the sams club one day sale for about 150$.

I have the lifetime angler. It is a best value for a basic angler kayak. The storage hold is the entire inside if the boat, so you need a box in a box system if u want to find your stuff. They also pop open from air pressure in surf so it can leak a ton getting it past shore break. I got it at Walmart for $219. At 274, this is full price for store pickup. Very beamy (steady) and it has a strong modding community to make it a stand up angler with a fold out pontoon. Add $50 in mods and you have a $750 kayak, and surprisingly good warranty. (They replaced a 6' Wave for me once with zero drama)
