Is this an older model or something? isn't the list price like $149.99?

I'm disappointed in the wifi range from my Verizon FiOS Actiontec router. Could I plug this into my router and use it as an access point for WiFi instead? (My Actiontec connects to FiOS via coax, so I can't just replace it with this). If so, is this a good option?

This router is $149.99 at costco. Best I've seen it there is $119.99. Amazon used to carry the very similar A20 but it's been out of stock recently. Wonder if its being discontinued.

Are there any known custom firmwares that work with this model?

I tried looking up Tomato, OpenWRT, and DD-WRT, but couldn't find this router listed on any of their supported models.
