why's the store all deciding on 25% off? first it was canada goose, now this...if all these companies want us to wear their product outdoors during the pandemic, they going to have to offer more than 25% to me haha
Most of these can be had for significantly cheaper from REI and the REI sales threads
This is false, unless you mean discontinued colorways and styles and you happen to wear XXL.

They're all probably taking a huge sales hit because pretty much no B&M sales anymore. On top of that - stocks are down 30% in a month.
They're all trying to get business to prop up their quarterly numbers and stay in business.
I bought a 850 down fill vest and every time I wear it more feathers come out, quite sad. I like their style but their prices are steep compared to some other down jacket companies.

Bang for the buck for down in my experience goes to Eddie Bauer, mountain hardwear, marmot, and Sherpa. I've used their stuff from casual strolls to big mountain winter summits and I've been pretty happy.

I have a lot of down products from many, many manufacturers. Down loss is accepted if you are using a high quality down garment. Also they use ethical down, many companies use live-plucked down harvested in horrific conditions. Also IIRC they use a higher quality down like Western Mountaineering.

That's the slight downside of a technical piece like the Cerium vest, which saves weight by using high fill power down and thin fabric. Feathers poke out more easily through thin fabric.
