I believe the APUs all end in the letter "G".

Yes, it's been falling every month...look at any price history chart. It's the nature of tech. This is an amazing price for one of the best desktop processors to date. Will it get cheaper in the future? Yes. Should you wait? Up to you, but probably not.
No it doesn't.

You are right. Now, reading your answer I realized my question was quite dumb.
Totally fine, it's the same I was asking myself last week. Everyone wants the best bang for their buck. This processor is overkill for gaming right now, but it is an incredible piece of machinery at the best price it's ever been. It's barely getting used in VR, playing doom eternal, warzone, or pubg...but I still am absolutely loving my new build with this and an x570 Taichi + 32 GB GSkill 3600C16 + GTX 2070s.
"Byte" ...How dare you
Im planning to do some gaming and lots of VMware to learn things. So i figured more core and 64gb of ram will benefit the vmware. Not really planning to get any crazy graphic card at the moment, just anything simple to have 3 monitors. Will buy a graphic card down the road after AMD and Nvidia announce their new cards.
Im going with the asus rog strix x570e-gaming for a little future prove and any games that may comeout and 64gb of gskill 3200cl16, i wanted to do gskill 3600cl16 but the price difference about 50$ doesnt seem worth it for the 1.2 nanosecond time difference - I wont know notice the difference for sure.
Everything else im recycling from my old computer.
