Menards has Milorganite Lawn Fertilizer on sale for $8.88 after mail-in rebate good through 3/28/20. $9.98 without mail-in rebate (which is still a great price)

https://www.menards.com/main/outd...034795.htm

If you don't have a Menards by you or they don't sell Milorganite at your local Menards (like in my situation)
Lowe's price matched it to $9.98 (the price before the mail-in rebate) for me. Price at Lowe's is currently $15.98. Mileage may vary by location/ manager not willing to. Typically Lowe's out by me price match without allot of scrutiny.

It looks like it may only be in Wisconsin stores. Doesn't appear to be available in any stores in Nebraska yet.

Where are you in Illinois, South Suburbs or NWI? Alsip nursery has it on sale for $6/bag til April 1st.

What Milo does for a lawn is unmatched by anything else on the market. The product has been sold out in days in Minnesota. Even if the consumer base drops by 75%, they will still be viable. Furthermore, coronavirus is spread by droplets, not contact. The latest NEJM data suggests it stays viable on plastic for 3 days, shorter than the shelf life of Milo. It is not viable by the time it's on the shelf and you buy it.

I'm not one of the rebate haters, but $1.10? How is that even worth it?

This is one of those products/companies that will go belly up after this chinese corona virus disaster. Human poop (the primary and sole ingredient in milorganite) is a known vector for coronavirus transmittance. I know its composted human poop, which should kill off any viruses, you just never know. One insect could continue to carry it on to your lawn.

My prediction - these are the last known days of Milorganite.
Milorganite is heat-dried in large-scale, bus-sized rotary dryers that operate at 900–1200°F which heats the Milorganite to an internal temperature of 176°F. The extreme heat and dryness kill pathogens.

This is not a Slickdeal at all. Slick price is closer to $6/bag. The OP also fails to mention that the Menards rebate is essentially just store credit.

So its not composted? If its heat yes everything is pretty much killed. If its composted then no.
