Thanks for the heads up OP. Was just looking yesterday when it was $79.99 at WD.

And thanks for this code! Looks like the sale price can't be combined with the 15% WD EDU discount. Price reverts to $117.99 when adding a student code. So at least another $5 helps. Nice deal.

You might also consider the new SN550. It is a bit cheaper and beats out this drive in some benches. It has lesser hardware specs, but new memory and plenty of optimizations.

For a power user this one will probably be better, but for mainstream, or storage the SN550 deserves a look.

Dang, and I *just* bought this from WD on the previous deal. Ah well, a $5 - $10 difference isn't going to kill me, I guess... unless WD has some kind of price guarantee, perchance? laugh out loud Not a big deal if they don't, though.

I gotta say, I didn't think I'd notice a difference from the 2.5" SSD that I upgraded from (a SanDisk Ultra) but it's certainly noticeable! That extra little pep certainly feels nice, especially when booting up OS's or Programs (or even heavy web pages) for the first time. Now I feel stupid for waiting so long to jump to an m.2 drive. LMAO
