The average unextended length is 3.6 in and extended length is 5.1 so the 4 in shaft is "half mast" or "partial chub".
I wish the bits stored inside the handle which is gonna be unused space anyway!

Got one when this was posted a few weeks ago. Solid tool. Worth the money if you need one.

Looks better than the Klein Tools one I bought several months ago, which uses proprietary bits and is completely useless for my huge collection of hex bits.

That's because it isn't extended in the packaging. Bought one yesterday, it definitely extends.

Definitely worth the $10. Got one on the last deal. Ratchet seems quality though I wish it could be operated with one hand. Even used the magnetic attachment which at first I thought was a gimmick.

Why can't it be operated with 1 hand?

Can I use the bits for a electric screwdriver? I have the black and decker one that was on slickdeals last month.

Can anyone compare it to this?

I know it's not on sale but I think it was before and I'm deciding if I should wait.

The entire driver is about 8" long, and extends to about 11" when telescoped.

It's very wobbly and annoying when extended though, it's just a long bit holder essentially that has a lot of play.

For $10 it's a fine ratcheting driver and worth it, but you'd be happier with one with bits on the handle if you're using it on any job where you'll need to swap bits.
