FYI the GoPro Fusion is on sale at Amazon for $209. It was panned at launch due to the very high price and the pain of the workflow. The price is obviously down, and if you have a high performance laptop/desktop then the workflow is manageable with free tools (stitch using GoPro's own software, then edit with Da Vinci Resolve).

GoPro Fusion is still considered to have some of the best stabilization and image quality. WIth the 2019 firmware update it records at 5.8k in 24 fps which gives you more resolution than this camera.

Not saying this post is a bad deal - but for those who can deal with the slow workflow, want to pay less, and value the image quality, GoPro Fusion is a better choice.

This or worth waiting for a Insta360 One X deal? Or neither and just save up for GoPro Max or Insta360 R?

Anyone have experience with this? I heard that Insta360 are the way to go. I saw some footage from it (friend has one) and it was pretty good. I don't know anyone with the Ricoh. I suspect software ease of use will play a big factor.

I haven't used the Theta but the Insta360 OneX is amazing. It has a ton of useful features and fun tools if you are doing creative work as well. It is the perfect 360 live stream tool and worked great for Facebook and YouTube.

How is this in low light. Is this better than the gear 360?

I bought a Moto mod 360 for $25
It's fun but i rarely use it, so i would say it's worth $25 but for me it's clearly not worth the $300 they were asking when it was released.

Not sure how different is this (apart from the fact that it's a standalone device, not something that needs a moto z to work)

I have the gear 360 and it is not very good at all in low light. These do way better in low light, I am thinking about getting this for 360 star shots

The Wirecutter lists this as their runner up pick to the Insta360 One X.

Quote :
Though it lacks some of the advanced features of the Insta360 One X like robust image stabilization, a removable battery, and 5.7K video, the Ricoh Theta V is a solid alternative if our main pick is sold out. The Theta V's simple design belies the complexity within, offering high-quality images and videos that look more natural and immersive than those taken by most other cameras. Though its resolution isn't as high as that of some others, the quality of its lenses and image sensors let it take excellent photos and videos.
I kinda want to wait for a deal on the Insta360 Evo for the VR180 support, but nobody even seems to carry that anymore. This might be the best deal we get for awhile.

I just picked up a fusion to give it another try and it seams the workflow has gotten much better since I last used it. 8mo ago. Keep an eye out for BB doing their random price drops down to 199 with free stuff. I got mine with 2 extra batteries and a dual charger.

I've seen t different markdown bundles. One bundle has 2 memory cards
I can't remember the third one
